This beautiful one-bedroom apartment nestles in the peaceful village of Holkham on the edge of the Holkham National Nature Reserve, offering a splendid coastal base to couples with their dogs in tow. Lovers of all things heritage and nature should visit nearby Holkham Hall (1 mile) where 25,000 acres of landscaped gardens, a tranquil lake and even a deer park await. To uncover the region’s coastal beauty, stride out along the Norfolk Coast Path which can be joined 0.5 miles away near Holkham Beach. Along this route, uncover other stretches of golden sand such as Sand Dunes Beach and Wells-next-the-sea Beach (both within 2.5 miles). When in Wells-next-the-Sea (2 miles), take some time to visit the port town’s quaint harbour. For a taste of local life, head to the picture-postcard towns and villages of Burnham Market, Holt, Cromer, and Mundesley (all within 30 miles).

On arrival, take a moment to soak in the tranquil and verdant surroundings before stepping into this delightful first-floor apartment to find a stylish and welcoming base for your Norfolk adventures. The open-plan living space combines the lounge, kitchen and diner, which is flooded with natural light and decorated in a chic and cosy style. Unwind in the lounge after days of coastal walking, flicking on the Smart TV as you settle into the soft seating. When it’s time to eat, find that the kitchen boasts all the equipment and space needed to cook up a romantic feast for two, perhaps using the local ingredients you sourced on your travels. Enjoy the chef’s work inside at the table, or when the weather permits, dine alfresco in the lawned garden. At the end of each busy day, retire to the sumptuous double bedroom which is served by a well-appointed bathroom.  

Outside, the lawned garden makes it easy to unwind and embrace your verdant surroundings. Start each day with a peaceful brew here and end it with an al fresco meal and evening tipple. Private parking for one car is available, as are on-site bike hire facilities.

A lovely light and airy apartment, comfortable and well equipped with wonderful marsh views. Steep Norfolk winder steps to be aware of but, we soon got used to them. Fabulous location - 10 minutes to the beautiful Holkham beaches and a similar time to the park and its numerous attractions (open late March) and walks. Next door to 'The Victoria' too. We plan to return!

Lovely cottage, fabulous setting close walk to the beach and Holkham is beautiful. Be aware though that if like us you are taking a dog, the garden is not securely enclosed as it has a very low wall and low fence. We had to keep our pooch on a lead.

A really beautiful property in the equally beautiful setting of the Holkham estate. The apartment was on the first floor so has lovely views and was cosy and warm. Very good range of coffee table style books left for us to read, a TV and a few board games. Spotlessly clean and modernized inside. All the equipment you would need for a short stay and reasonable storage. The bedroom vanity area had a mirror and plugs in all the right places for hairdryer etc. Very comfy bed but a bit short for a tall husband! The kitchen was well equipped with good quality items including an air fryer, coffee machine and microwave. The Holkham toiletries were from Holkham estate and really lovely. The owners also left a parking permit for the estate and a discount card for the shops. There was a wine shop behind the property which had a huge range and also gifts, and the country outdoor wear shop was equally well stocked with good quality items. Plenty of secure parking around the properties. The Victoria opposite is lovely although we didn't visit on this occasion we had been before and recommend it. Holkham beach is only a short walk down the road too. We would definitely consider staying in one of the properties again when in Norfolk and would recommend this property.

A super property in one of the best positions in North Norfolk, directly facing Lady Anne’s Drive. With a few very minor adjustments this will be a superb place to stay.

Overall very nice indeed some additional kitchen items would be appreciated but it's a small criticism as it was in most respects very well equipped All rooms very clean and comfortable and overall very welcoming.

Our stay at Holm Oak Hideaway 2 was very enjoyable. The facilities in the apartment were modern, clean and tidy. The location is the best we’ve known for exploring the north Norfolk coast. Little touches of locally sourced food and books were very well thought. We would very much recommend a stay here.
