Description
A modern, cedar-clad holiday home in the heart of Holt but away from the bustle, with the benefit of parking, ramp access to the front door and a very private setting. All on one level, this lovely, spacious Lodge has a barn like feel to it with high ceilings at its heart, in the open plan living area. Light and bright with one side of the room featuring floor to ceiling bi-fold doors, you can really bring the outside in. Warming underfloor heating, wooden floors and an eye-catching wood burner, give the Lodge a contemporary feel. Both bedrooms have wall mounted televisions, encouraging a lie-in, in the mornings. There is an en-suite wet room to the master bedroom and a family bathroom too. On warmer days, the secluded south/south-west facing courtyard garden is just the spot to rustle up a barbeque and enjoy eating al fresco underneath the apple tree. Holt is a popular town on the North Norfolk map. Seek out its Georgian charm and character, art and antique galleries, fashion boutiques, food shops offering the best of local produce, café's, pubs and restaurants. The Green Flag awarded Holt Country Park has over 100 acres of woodland to discover and Holt is also home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, where you can pick up the Poppy Line and enjoy a train ride to Weybourne and Sheringham on a diesel or steam train. Just a short drive to the stunning North Norfolk coast, where you can discover bird watching, nature reserves, enchanting coastal and inland villages, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, sailing, seal watching and vast sandy beaches. The coastal villages of Blakeney for seal trips and Cley for bird watching are just five miles away. A little further along the coast road is the current home of the Earl of Leicester, Holkham Hall, which hosts numerous events throughout the year. Colourful beach huts decorate the vast sands at Wells-next-the Sea and Holkham beach is the chosen beach of the ‘Household Cavalry’ who can be seen galloping along whilst taking a well-earned break in the summer.
