Weybourne is a traditional coastal village set on winding lanes that lead to the heath land above and the sea below. In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the coastline in the village offers a shingle beach and fabulous cliff top walks. The village has a local shop, tearoom and pub which serves excellent food; be sure to call in for a pint of local ale or a refreshing gin from their impressive selection of 150 different types! The village is famous for being home to the Muckleburgh Military Collection and Weybourne station, where you can hop on the North Norfolk Railway. Set between the elegant Georgian town of Holt to the west, with its mix of art galleries, independent shops, antique haunts, cafe culture, pubs and restaurants and the popular seaside town of Sheringham to the east. You can leave the car behind too and take the Coast Hopper Bus Service to discover the rest of the coast from Victorian Cromer to beautiful Brancaster and beyond. Don’t miss out on the beautiful historic houses in the area, Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall both run by the National Trust. There are many other opportunities for days out in the area for young and old alike and there are several excellent golf courses within easy reach.

Reviews

Had a lovely 2 night stay at No.4 Seastone Cottages. We were delighted to find that both the pub and local shop really are only a very short walk away. Weybourne is a pretty, very quiet village. The loft bedroom was beautiful and very comfortable - waking up to the sounds of sheep and birds singing was a treat! The stoney shower deserves a mention - very spacious and surprisingly smooth! All in all we (and our two Springers) enjoyed our stay.

Mr Y,

Overall a lovely cottage in a very pleasant location. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was brilliant (both shower and bath were an absolute delight). Private garden was great for the dogs but, be aware, you have to escort them through an open area outside the back door which is not enclosed from other properties and the road. Local pub is also excellent for food and drink and only 5 minutes walk.

Mr H,

Lovely clean well equipped cottage. Well laid out and plenty of room. Good base to explore Norfolk. Weybourne is a great village, nice local pub and cafe. Great local walks too

Miss J,

Sea Stone cottage is a lovely property with plenty of space. It has pretty much everything that you need for a holiday. It is in a great location, close to the sea and handily placed for using the coast hopper bus service. There are lots of good dog walking places nearby, and there is even an enclosed dog exercise paddock on the community field just opposite. It has an enclosed garden for the dog, but there is an open area to reach it. Inside there are lovely sunny aspects and great views from the top bedroom. Be aware that there are quite steep stairs to reach it. The walk in shower is a great feature in the bathroom. In walking distance of Weybourne Station on the North Norfolk Railway and therefore perfect for attending my course there.

Mr T,

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful area. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Since our last visit Weybourne has really grown as a thriving and welcoming community. The Ship Inn , Ali's and The Maltings are all great as are the walks, the local towns (especially Holt) and the Poppy Line train (which is bit expensive)

Mrs F,

Cannot really fault the cottage. We loved staying there and would 100% book again. Has everything you need and it’s a decent size .. I’m 6.3 and had no issues. Secret garden was great especially for the dogs. Shower was very nice. Comfy beds. Kitchen was very well equipped. Welcome pack was lovely touch. Maybe if you have dogs bring a hose to wash the dogs down outside. We brought one and it really helped us keep everything clean. Nice and quiet but also a great location for walks, beach, pub and shop. Also easy to get anywhere around north Norfolk. Value for money and would highly recommend.

Mr S,

Seastone Cottage is lovely, spotless clean & extremely well equipped. Fantastic location & great local amenities. Use of the wood burner in the kitchen is essential in winter to keep warm and cosy.

Ms G,

Blissful stay at this beautiful cottage. Our sausage dog had lovely naps by the wood burner (as did we!) It was just what two stressed city dwellers needed. The Ship Inn was also a lovely place for an evening meal. Missing Norfolk already...

Mrs L,

Overall we had a lovely stay in an area that we have never explored before. Lovely comfortable cottage - enjoyed the stay - thank you.

Mr B,

We found Sea stone cottage to be clean, very spacious and fairly well equipped. Parking was outside the front of the house and we didn't have any issues. A welcome pack would have been nice though. The garden is lovely and accessed a separate gate across a open ended court yard.

Mr C,

Overall we enjoyed our visit at the cottage, it was well located for the surrounding areas. It was nice to stay somewhere with character & charm. The outside space was a lovely bonus.

Mrs D,

Ideal location good dog walks across the road is a communal field with fab views. Great pub a minutes walk down the road, comfortable clean and well equipped. Would highly recommend

Mrs W,

We had a lovely week at Seastone, we were 4 adults and found the cottage comfortable and well equipped. As mentioned in other reviews the stairs are quite steep and the top bedroom does get warm when it is warm. The village is lovely and we would recommend the local pub, the ship, for tasty meals. Seastone is a great base for exploring the north Norfolk coast and we wouldn’t hesitate to book the cottage again if we return to the area.

Mrs T,

Excellent location and comfortable accommodation. There was everything we needed and the quality of towels, bedding and kitchen equipment etc was to a very good standard. The little garden is really pretty and safe for our dogs.

Ms R,

Very cosy and it was good that you could put heating on when it was cold in the evening

Mr O,

Beautiful, light, cosy, well equipped property in a pretty, friendly village. Used the attic room which had nice village views & pretty views of the sky at night. Lovely enclosed garden which my dog enjoyed along with the nearby safe community field. Enjoyed coffee on back patio. Lots of varied beautiful coast to visit. Local pebbly beach & cliff path easy to walk to.

Ms H,

Lovely cottage in a great spot, close to the beach and pub! We had a problem with the TV remote which was rectified immediately, excellent service.

Mrs B,

WOW!! What a Cottage, very welcoming when you enter the property it almost wraps it's arms around you to give you a big hug when you enter. The sitting room is bright and cosy with a wood burner for cold nights, not that it's cold the cottage is nice and warm through out. Kitchen is well fitted and characterful. Twin bedroom is roomy and well fitted. The bathroom, what can I say, luxury fittings, massive shower and bath very tastefully done. The main bedroom on the top floor is also very luxurious bed is comfortable and there is amply storage, even an ensuite toilet and hand basin which was an added bonus. Throughout the furnishings are excellent and in keeping with the period property. Beautiful cottage will most definitely be returning.

Mrs H,

A wonderful cosy cottage perfectly situated for fantastic local beach and coastal walks as well as exploring the area further. The bedrooms are very spacious and the main bathroom has one of the best showers ever!! The cottage is very well equipped and beautifully decorated and the wood burners in both the kitchen and lounge make it cosy and very welcoming.

Mrs B,

The cottage was lovely and clean and beautifully decorated throughout. It was very well stocked with all items that you could need for a stay. The master bedroom was large and comfortable with a very comfortable bed. The shower was next level comfortable and had a very powerful shower. There was nothing I could fault, the owners clearly love their property and are very welcoming. The village of Weybourne was very peaceful with just the sound of the Norfolk train nearby. The walk to the beach was less than 10 minutes and provided spectacular views. The Ship Inn serves wholesome food from local produce and has an excellent selection of drinks. All the staff there are very welcoming. I would definitely return.
