Description

Nestling on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Outwell, this luxury barn is in the perfect location for walking, cycling, fishing and wildlife spotting. It is part of a small complex, which is on the site of an old Benedictine Priory. Outwell has a range of local services including shops, restaurants and pubs and the historic market town of Downham Market is only 6 miles away. Welney Wetlands wildlife reserve (10 miles), Denver Windmill (7 miles) for cream teas and the King’s Estate at Sandringham (24 miles), are all worth a visit. The cities of Cambridge, Ely and Norwich are all within easy reach where you can explore cathedrals, castles, museums and partake in some retail therapy.

Step inside this stylish property to find a perfect mix of authentic charm and stylish comforts, with exposed brickwork and beams blending effortlessly with contemporary styling. The large open plan kitchen, dining, living area with vaulted ceiling, patio doors and a high-level window fill the space with natural light. For those that like to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped and the dining area comfortably seats four guests to dine on that delicious food. The lounge area has comfortable sofas and views out over the rolling fields, to be enjoyed day and night. A cloakroom with washing machine, tumble dryer and WC completes the ground floor. When it’s time for bed, two tasteful bedrooms await you on the first floor and a bathroom completes the property.

Outside, you can breathe in the fresh countryside air whilst dining alfresco in the fully enclosed courtyard. While away the hours in the private hot tub, pop the champagne and unwind in the bubbles.

A lovely barn style cottage with the wow factor on arrival. Set amongst endless fields with uninterrupted views, wild deer running in the distance, this place was incredible from the off. Thoughtful welcome gifts and a spotless property greeted us on arrival which paved the way for us to have a wonderful break. The fenced off patio area with hot tub and bbq was perfect and took the worry away with the kids and dog. Spacious, rustic, homely - it did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

Spent 4 blissful days relaxing, using the hot tub, walking around the field and enjoying the most peaceful break with our two girls and two dogs. It was just what we needed and highly recommend! Owners were really lovely and communication was excellent. Would love to return! X

A superb cottage that is really well equipped in a great location with easy access to a number of places including Sandringham and a short train journey to Cambridge. Happy though just to sit on the sofa or in the watching the deer or the local farmers bring in the harvest.

This is a fantastic little property with the great addition of a hot tub that was enjoyed by all! The location is a bit out of the way but you get a good clear view from the hot tub. Only small niggles that can easily be fixed with a few more glasses & cutlery. We found the mattress was uncomfortable and woke with back pain but each to their own with mattresses. I would recommend the property if you wanted one in that area!

We stayed for a week 16 - 23rd February 2024 in Abbotts, and were pleasantly greeted with a lovely welcome basket and beautiful cake upon arrival! The view from the windows are stunning and this place was so peaceful away from our busy city lives. The hot tub was perfect at the end of a day exploring the area. The barn was converted in such a stunning and unique style, truly a home away from home. We would love to come back and will recommend this to our family and friends! Thank you for an amazing stay!
