Description
In the heart of the Norfolk countryside, this cottage is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In a central position for exploring some of Norfolk's finest attractions, guests at Swannington can enjoy some excellent walking and cycling paths, such as the Marriott's Way, which can be accessed directly from the farm, the Bure Valley and Weavers Way. The Norfolk Broads, where you can enjoy a river cruise or hire a boat for the day is just 13 miles away. Within a 20-mile drive, you can enjoy North Norfolk and its wide sandy beaches as well National Trust properties such as Blickling, Felbrigg and Sheringham Park. The cathedral city of Norwich with all its cultural attractions and shopping opportunities is just 10 miles away.
As you come down the farm drive and step into the lodge you are immediately made to feel welcome. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area with comfortable and bespoke furniture, is a great space to relax and unwind with friends and family. The modern kitchen area is well-equipped and offers all you could need to prepare a home-cooked feast. Just off the living area plays host to the two bedrooms one king sized bedroom and one twin room both with en-suite shower rooms. The property has been built to be as eco-friendly as possible using air source heat pumps, water from a private supply on the farm as well as most of the electricity being provided via the farms large array of solar panels.
Outside there is a lovely decking area which can be accessed via the open-plan living area with fantastic views overlooking the farms fields and neighbouring countryside. The farm also has its own footpath for guests to enjoy which links directly onto Marriot’s Way.
