Description
A holiday in Wiveton, North Norfolk, offers a delightful blend of coastal and countryside charm, perfect for a tranquil getaway. Nestled amid stunning landscapes, Wiveton is close to Cley-next-the-Sea (1 mile), where the historic windmill and the Cley Marshes Nature Reserve provide a haven for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. Nearby, the picturesque village of Blakeney (1.5 miles) invites exploration with its scenic coastal walks and seal-watching boat trips. A short drive inland brings you to Holt (4 miles), a charming Georgian market town brimming with independent boutiques, antique shops, and cosy cafes, along with the serene Holt Country Park for leisurely woodland strolls.
This unique property, formerly a Methodist chapel, has been lovingly converted into a cosy holiday let, blending historic charm with modern comfort. As you step inside via the side door, you'll find the well-equipped kitchen, featuring modern appliances and everything you need for your culinary adventures. The kitchen also houses a quaint dining table, perfect for intimate meals for two. From the kitchen, a small hallway to the left leads you to the cosy lounge area. This space is thoughtfully furnished with a comfortable armchair and a sofa, perfect for relaxing evenings. The lounge also features a wood burner for those chilly nights, a TV with Freeview, a DVD, and a Bluetooth speaker, ensuring your entertainment needs are well catered for. Back out in the main hallway, you'll find a king-size bedroom, offering adequate storage space for your belongings. Adjacent to the bedroom is a family bathroom, complete with a shower over the bath and a WC, providing all the comforts of home.
Off the kitchen, French doors lead you to a small, private courtyard area. This delightful outdoor space is furnished with a table and chairs, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine in the fresh Norfolk air. You also have a bench by the side of the cottage, ideal for an afternoon drink in the sun. Although not a parking space, you can use the driveway next to the cottage to unload your belongings before parking on-street, or at the village car park just around the corner opposite the village pub.
