Reviews

A lovely stay at this very comfortable cottage. Plenty of space and beautiful surrounds. Sarah the owner was very helpful thanks.

Mr S,

Fabulous relaxing location, ideal for escaping the rigours of daily life

Mr C,

The Beeches was a perfect cottage for a relaxing family getaway. It was peaceful and private but within easy reach of shops and pubs. Sarah was an amazing host and made us very welcome and comfortable - the living room is beautifully decorated and the table football kept the kids amused for hours !

Mrs E,

Our second visit to this lovely cottage at Woodcroft Farm! Its scenic location along with the beauty of the moors of the North Pennines close by was a magnet for a return holiday. Once again a warm welcome from Sarah. We may well be back again!

Mrs P,

This was a fabulous cottage in a great location, the views from the window were stunning and the large garden was great, kids would love it.The cottage had everything you need for a relaxing holiday,it is a very beautiful area and it is great for anyone who enjoys walking and being in the countryside, lots of waterfalls, reservoirs and woodlands to explore, great for the dogs.

Mrs G,

Lovely holiday, beautiful peaceful location

Mr P,

A spacious, clean, comfortable and homely cottage with a wonderful garden. The location of the cottage is excellent, a peaceful quiet spot but only a short , beautiful walk into both Stanhope and Frosterley.

Mrs P,

We loved staying at Beeches Cottage, Sarah the owner welcomed us when we arrived, and was on hand but not intrusive if we needed anything. The house was beautiful inside and out, very clean and had everything we needed, with lovely open countryside views at the front of the property. The garden is a fantastic space and very peaceful, all you can hear is the birds singing in the trees, and the occasional call of the sheep and new born lambs which were in the field in front of the house. The property is in a lovely quiet location, but close to the local village if you needed anything. There are some beautiful areas and historic places to visit quite close by. I would definitely recommend Beeches Cottage to anyone. We look forward to booking this property again in the not too distant future. Thank you so much Sarah and family, it was a pleasure to meet you.

Mrs M,

A lovely, comfortable cottage in a pretty location - we enjoyed watching the lambs from the kitchen window. The garden was great for the dog.

Mrs P,

A beautiful cottage set in a wonderful part of the world. As keen wildlife watchers, it is perfectly positioned to explore the Weardale area. Would have no hesitation in booking again if we are in the area.

Mr S,

We had the most amazing time at The Beeches everything was just perfect and couldn’t find any fault whatsoever during our stay. Loved the enclosed garden so our wee dog could not escape and the milk and cakes were a lovely touch after a 5hr journey to get there. The cottage is absolutely stunning, great location and loved being on a farm seeing all the lambs we even had the brief pleasure of watching the boarder collies work them. Definitely will return again, thank you!

Mrs M,

Really lovely cottage for a family get together. Beautiful setting and really comfortable for all.
