Reviews

Fantastic location. I spotted the cottage a few years ago. Excellent for our half term holiday with our daughter and grandson. Found the village restaurants have really increased their prices. Excellent visits to Bamburgh castle and Grace Darling museum

Mr S,

This is a wonderful place to stay if you like to walk beach's with your dogs, it's location is perfect for easy access to the beach, but its incredibly quiet and sheltered. The conservatory makes the cottage as its very warm and sunny when the weather is good, but a perfect retreat when it's raining and the lounge is warm and cosy in the evenings. We have been several times and will come again.

Mr L,

We have stayed in Bamburgh eight times now and Coastguard Cottage is by far the best place to stay although the cost per week is reflective of that. I like the big communal rooms, high ceilings, comfortable beds and pillows and lots of light. Most of all the situation of the cottage being just behind the dunes and 2 minutes walk to the green cannot be bettered. Thank you for a wonderful holiday! This is our second visit and we will be back for sure!

Mrs B,

Very well appointed, comfortable and light Cottage in a great location for tennis, children's playgound, sea and golf.

Mrs P,

One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. Beautifully maintained in a wonderful location. Bags of character.

Mr T,

We loved the cottage: inside it is very well-furnished and comfy and outside the patio & lawn are super if the weather is nice and the conservatory is fab when the weather is colder. The location is super for access to the beach & the village, although I imagine the adjacent footpath could be very busy in the summer. A couple of points to note: two of the bedrooms can only access a bathroom by going through either the lounge or the kitchen/dining area. Also, the wall between the next-door cottage and the main bathroom & adjacent bedroom is paper thin - we could hear every word the occupants said - and other noises!

Mrs T,

Coastguard Cottage is in an excellent location, a short walk from the middle of Bamburgh and a shorter walk to the wonderful beach in the shadow of Bamburgh Castle. It is very well equipped and has plenty of space. Ideal for a family holiday even when it's very wet or foggy.

Mr B,

Fabulous location and a great property

Mrs B,

Beautiful location . Cottage everything we needed and more; would most definitely return again. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️ FABULOUS

Mrs E,

This property location is fabulous.

Previous Customer,

This note is made here as I could not find an alternative place to report. We have stayed at this property several times before and always found it very clean. However, this year there was a stain on the small hall mat which is very likely to be from a dog. This could easily have been disposed of or replaced. Some of the fixtures were dusty, e.g. shelf/ledge in kitchen and bedroom windowsill. Also spare bedding just shoved in a wardrobe in hanging area for clothes. This had to be moved elsewhere to use the wardrobe. The outside recycling bin was very smelly.

Mr D,

Lovely accommodation. Had everything we needed. Would stay again

Mrs H,
