Reviews

This cottage was so comfortable and well appointed, kitchen equipment was excellent even down to a slow cooker so dinner would be ready on our return at night. You can sit on the door step watching the wild life including hares, and the 100's of house martins getting ready to leave for the sunshine. The garden is totally dog secure, you can leave them outside in the full knowledge they are safe.

Ms K,

The cottage was superbly clean when we arrived. Every appliance you could need was there and working. The location was perfect , on a "no through road" so was perfect for our two dogs to wander out of the front door.

Mr C,

Beautifully cottage in a sleepy hamlet. Extremely well equipped and comfortable with a lovely secluded back patio and walled garden. We stayed with small child and the house catered well for a family - safe and full of extras to make the holiday easy. Not far from stunning Bamburgh and the Northumberland coast. Only slight draw back were limited footpaths directly from the house, and close proximity to A1 meant we drove most places. However if you want a relaxed peaceful stay this is the place. Would absolutely stay again and recommend.

Mrs H,

Situated in quiet, very pleasant rural location.Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Loved the fact that each bedroom had a first class ensuite.

Mrs R,

We had a lovely time with our family and had everything we needed.

Dr F,

Overall a really nice cottage, great location to explore the North. Quiet lane. Great information pack offering very useful advice by the owners.

Mr R,

We had a lovely peaceful holiday and enjoyed exploring the area. The house is very comfortable.

Mrs M,

Lovely cottage beautiful surroundings. Greatly appreciated after being let down by cottage booked two days before holiday. Great location for exploring the area.,lots to do and see.

Mrs S,

Beautiful, quiet location. The first ever truly dog friendly/ safe walled garden we have had. Lovely ensuite bedrooms. Comfortable open living/ kitchen area. Straight off A1 and easy access to local attractions. Nice neighbours too. Only issue we had was the heating but that may not be needed if the sun ever comes out.

Mr A,

Fika is a lovely cottage in a quiet location with easy access to beaches, castles, towns and the very best Northumberland has to offer. Perfect for 6 people and 3 rooms all with ensuite provided privacy for everyone. A cosy and comfortable cottage. Superb customer service from Original Cottages when there was a problem with the front door.

Mrs P,

Best UK property we’ve ever stayed in. Brilliantly equipped house, spotlessly clean and the most useful guidebook.

Mr H,

Loved this property. It was perfectly placed for the main areas of interest in Northumberland, set in a beautiful, quiet location with easy access to the main road network. The property itself was furnished with more than the expected kitchen equipment which enabled a baking day with ease and was bright and comfortable while catering for our family's particular needs.
