Description

Seal Bay has benefitted from a complete re-decoration and is a charming two bedroom apartment in an ideal location. Perfect for small family getaways or a short holiday break with friends. The apartment has an elevated view over Budle Bay where you can't help but admire this area of beautiful countryside and watch an ever changing scene evolving with the tides. The bay is an important bird sanctuary, and thousands of wildfowl and wading seabirds enjoy the mud flats. The property is just under 2 miles from Bamburgh village with its golden sands and imposing castle. A further 3 miles takes you to the fishing village of Seahouses where you will be able to get most of your holiday essentials. Up to the North, Holy Island is a worthy visit and steeped in history.

Reviews

The house was in a perfect location, quiet, well equipped and very comfortable. The TV lounge/snug was perfect for cosy nights in. A little more attention to the cleaning of the place but all in all 10/10 would certainly look at booking again

Mr W,

A fabulous apartment, very comfortable and well equipped. Thank you

Mrs H,

Very comfortable well equipped house. Yes the lounge is dark as no windows but we found it cosy for evenings in front of the TV. It was a Great base for touring the Northumberland coast.

Mrs W,

We had a lovely time in the cottage, very comfortable accommodation, transport essential.

Mrs R,

Warren Mill is an interesting conversion of the old grain mill, in a beautiful location with stunning views of Budle Bay

Mrs B,

Good area, 5 Minute drive to Bamburgh Castle

Mrs B,

We had a very comfortable stay. The property is very well equipped including dog bowls for the dogs. The location is beautiful and an ideal base for exploring the beaches, walks and local villages of Northumberland.

Mr S,

Nice in a good location

Mr H,

Don't tell lies in the advert. The so-called "beach within 0.1 miles" turned out to be a combination of salt marsh and mudflats - no sand in sight within this distance: totally unfit for either people or dogs to walk on. Furthermore, it was part of a nature reserve and the dogs could not have been let off the lead anyway. We booked this property based on this claim, so we could walk the dogs to a nearby beach without driving. It transpired to be a massive disappointment. Nor did the advert mention the appalling mobile phone reception there, which made it very difficult to maintain contact with my elderly, disabled father's carers whilst at the premises. The premises itself was fine, but following a power cut to the local area on Saturday (30th March) afternoon, there was no hot water. When I called the company number they refused to send anyone out that day. The problem was rectified that day without their intervention; however, that does not bode well for any significant problem which could not have been rectified the same day. In summary, a poor experience, which I would not repeat. I also found that what guests are expected to do prior to leaving (strip beds; hoover etc) to be unreasonable. There is a 6 hour gap between check out (1000 hours) and check in (1600 hours). Surely that is enough for all requisite cleaning; including any extra caused by the presence of dogs, to be carried out. We paid any extra £50 for our 2 dogs, so what is this for other than any extra cleaning required?

Mr M,
