Description
A family-friendly holiday home situated on the outskirts of Bamburgh. Ideal for small families and groups of friends, the property offers warm and welcoming accommodation for your seaside break. There are many wonderful walks to enjoy from the doorstep. The sandy beach, Bamburgh Castle and the village centre are all within a 1-mile radius. The village boasts a variety of pubs, restaurants and delicatessens. By day, you can explore the beautiful Northumberland coast and countryside, where there are countless opportunities for walking, cycling, golf and birdwatching. If you’re bringing a dog, simply cross the road from the holiday home and you’ll reach the sand dunes, which lead to the beach. Once you’re on the beach, turn left to enjoy a wonderful walk towards Budle Bay (2.6 miles), which takes you past the castle and along the beach. If you turn right, you can walk towards the busy fishing port of Seahouses (2.8 miles).
The entrance porch offers useful hanging space for coats and jackets. From here, enter the homely lounge/diner with comfortable seating, Smart TV and cosy multi-fuel stove. The dining table sits in the window - a lovely place to play board games or enjoy a family meal. From the lounge area, double doors lead through to the sunroom, which is furnished with a small sofa and provides access to the garden through the patio doors. The contemporary kitchen is fitted with all mod cons, including a Nespresso coffee machine and a dishwasher. A door from the kitchen leads out to the garden. In the garage, you’ll find laundry facilities and a WC. The garage is accessible from the garden. Upstairs, the super-king-size bedroom offers views to the south and west across towards The Cheviot Hills. This bedroom also benefits from an en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating (three steps down from bedroom). The double bedroom offers views of the Farne Islands and the single bedroom boasts views across the sand dunes toward the sea. The double and single bedrooms are served by a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Outside, you’ll find a rear west-facing garden with a secluded lawned area with borders, enclosed by a stone wall and fence. The outdoor space includes a patio area with countryside views towards The Cheviot Hills. Wooden garden furniture and a BBQ are provided for informal al fresco dining. The front garden is a hard standing for parking. The external garage cannot accommodate a car, but it has a drying area and is available for storage of beach gear, golf clubs, bikes and kayaks. The washing machine, utility and drying area, and a WC are also in the garage, which is accessible from the rear garden.
