Reviews

The house warm very warm and welcoming with all the facilities you needed for a self catering holiday. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The beds were really comfortable and the views from the bedrooms were fantastic. The garden furniture could be improved and the sitting room furniture could be more comfortable . Overall we had a fabulous stay and would definitely use this property again.

Mrs J,

We would whole-heartedly recommend this cottage for the summer months but not the colder times of the year, as the provided facilities downstairs are insufficient to cope with bad weather. The upstairs bedrooms were warm and cosy, the beds comfortable, the bathroom towels of good quality and the toiletries a welcome, especially if one has forgotten shower gel, etc. Thank you for providing these little extras and the well supplied tray in the kitchen, these were appreciated.

Mr B,

We enjoyed the location which is just across the road to Bamburgh beach and a short walk to the Castle and lovely village. The upstairs of the property is spacious and modern with two large bathrooms however the lounge area does feel cramped and the furniture is not very comfortable for a family of four. This could be resolved by updating the lounge with a dining table in the kitchen area and larger, more comfortable seating for the lounge.

Mrs C,

Lovely warm house in a great location. Easy walk across the dunes to the beautiful beach or quick stroll along the pavement into Bamburgh. Really quiet and peaceful.

Mrs A,

Sandstrath is a lovely holiday home with every modern convenience. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. A great base for touring the Northumberland coast and further inland too. The view from the back of the house is lovely and the antics of the cows and sheep are very amusing! Our cocker spaniel was most put out when he spotted a cow peering over the garden wall trying to munch one of the shrubs!

Miss C,

Lovely cottage.everything you need is there.garden view over fields lovely.would go again.easy walk into bamburgh and to beach.

Mrs P,

Lovely house in a peaceful location within walking distance of the beach and Bamburgh village centre. Kitchen very well equipped, and bedrooms/bathrooms lovely. We had a great time!

Ms H,

This is a lovely house in a lovely location. Quiet and peaceful, tastefully furnished and decorated a gem!!

Mr F,

Lovely cottage a short walk from Bamburgh ( with great views of the castle on the way). Easy access to the beach. Cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Highly recommend.

Mrs M,

Amazing holiday home, lovely location. Not one negative comment.

Ms F,

Cottage very clean well equipped and ideally situated

Mrs M,

Four of us, two couples, had a lovely week at sandstrath. We appreciated that the kitchen was extremely well equipped. We had super weather and enjoyed sitting out in the back garden but would have liked more comfortable seating out there. We enjoyed being right on the coastal path, being able to walk in both directions and get down to the beach.

Ms F,

We loved this property for so many reasons. Firstly it’s in an amazing location with easy access to the links walks, the beach, the village and as a base to explore the region. Secondly it has been very well prepared with great facilities and was spotless and well presented. There is everything you need and all very good qualities ty and tasteful. There is no doubt we will be back
