Description
Dingley Dell is a delightful, warm, and cosy cottage which is situated just behind the main street in the village of Lowick. Dating back to 1745, the cottage has been beautifully refurbished and offers all accommodation at ground floor level. A newly installed fitted kitchen leads through to the tastefully presented lounge and dining area with vaulted ceiling and feature fireplace. The light and spacious bedroom has a super-king bed which can also be offered as twin beds. After a long day of exploring why not relax in the whirlpool bath before enjoying an evening drink in the charming courtyard garden, with pretty lights and comfortable outdoor furniture in a peaceful and private setting.
Lowick is ideally placed only ten minutes' drive from the dramatic Northumbrian coastline and the Causeway at Holy Island, subject to safe Holy Island crossing times, where you can trace the roots of Christianity in Britain. Close at hand are the villages of Ford and Etal with quaint cottages, working water mill, light railway. Just half an hour away is Alnwick, home to The Duke of Northumberland at Alnwick Castle and the magnificent Alnwick Garden. Boat trips to the Farne Islands daily (weather permitting) from Seahouses.
