Description

Located just opposite the sand dunes, which lead straight to the wide sandy beach, this charming cottage offers an ideal location for a memorable seaside escape. With views of Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands, you’ll find yourself immersed in the beauty of this iconic coastline. Enjoy peaceful shoreline walks, fun-filled days with the children on the beach, and the views of Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle as your backdrop. The cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring the charming village of Bamburgh, which is just a short walk away. There, you’ll find independent shops, pubs, restaurants, and tea rooms, making it an ideal spot to spend time after a day of adventure. History lovers will enjoy visiting Bamburgh Castle and the Grace Darling Museum, while nature enthusiasts can explore Budle Bay, take a boat tour to the Farne Islands from Seahouses, or enjoy rock pooling and water sports at Beadnell Bay. With Holy Island and Alnwick Castle just a short drive away, you’ll have easy access to the best that the region has to offer.

Inside, you’ll find a welcoming coastal cottage, where you can store your walking boots in the porch before entering the light-filled lounge/diner. With dual-aspect windows, this space offers lovely views of the neighbouring sand dunes. The wood burner, comfortable seating, and sociable dining area overlooking the garden make it the perfect place to relax. The well-equipped kitchen offers ample workspace, a coffee machine for your morning brew, and access to a rear door leading outside.

The cottage has two bedrooms: a super-king bedroom with a separate dressing room and access to a seating area outside, and a cosy twin bedroom. The single bedroom, accessed from the lounge, provides a comfortable chair and a direct view of Bamburgh Castle. The family shower room includes a walk-in shower and WC.

The garden is a wonderful spot to enjoy the fresh air and stunning views. With a generous lawned area and garden furniture, it’s perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning sunshine or relaxing with family and friends in the evening. The charcoal BBQ offers an opportunity for al fresco dining, while the outside tap and storage shed make it easy to clean off beach gear or store equipment. There is also off-road parking for two cars.
