Reviews

Beautiful cottage, perfect location , very quiet with country side views

Mr T,

We have stayed here twice now, first time in summer. It is a really peaceful area and quite private. It is well appointed and very clean. Everything you need is provided even down to dog bowls and beach towels. Nice welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk and biscuits. Local shop ( Co op ) within 10/15 minute drive. There are a good choice of beaches and tourist attractions within 40 minutes and dogs are allowed at most. Would recommend a stay here.

Ms C,

A wonderful peaceful location. Cottage felt homely and has everything you need. Beautiful views front and back.

Mrs A,

What a wonderful week we had. The peace and tranquility is worth every penny. Well placed for visiting numerous places of interest and beaches. It is well equipped even down to dog bowls, beach towels and footwear to use outside. We could feel ourselves relaxing. Within 2 hours of arriving home we had booked another week for later this year.

Ms C,

Beautiful cottage, very comfortable and extremely well equipped.. Lovely welcome pack which was gratefully received after a long journey. The contained front and back gardens were fabulous for the dogs and the peace and tranquility sitting on the deck in the front garden was just what was needed. Would have no hesitation in booking this cottage again.

Ms M,

Highly recommended. This is a really lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful rural location. We found it to be much more spacious and comfortable than the photos suggested and the outside space with an uninterrupted view over fields and hills was lovely. Although the middle of 3 properties, we found it to be very private and extremely quiet. The location was great. Just 10 mins from the A1 and Belford, which is a super friendly village with all the amenities you'd need. An expected highlight for us was a walk from the cottage to St Cuthbert's Cave, through poppy fields and farmland where we saw hares, deer and a buzzard. We loved our holiday in Northumberland and would definitely return to this cottage.

Mrs T,

Wonderfully equipped and comfy. The l9cation is quiet and friendly - important for us as we would normally choose remote and isolated cottages. Nicely dog friendly though some areas on front garden were a little unsecured for our smaller rescue dog. The back garden is excellently secured. Great to have no one directly overlooking the back.

Mrs M,

A lovely cosy traditional cottage. Its location is very rural, being a few miles out of Belford, situated in a hamlet of about 10 other cottages of mixed holiday and residential. It is so peaceful with lovely countryside views. The outside has a good enclosed rear garden, which was ideal for our dogs. The front garden is also enclosed when the wooden gate is shut, also providing a secure parking space. The kitchen is well equipped. 10 minutes in from the A1 gives good access to the Northumberland coast and 20 minutes to Bamburgh. We had a lovely short break with our two dogs and will happily return.

Mr H,

I had a very comfortable stay in Bede cottage. It has pretty enclosed gardens to the front and back of the cottage and lovely views. It's in a lovely part of the world and I enjoyed exploring different parts of the coast.
