Description
This large house has all the conveniences necessary for extended families or friends getting together, for groups of people pursuing interests such as golf, birdwatching and walking, or even a small business retreat. Located in the pretty village of Beadnell, it is only 0.5 miles from the golden sands of Beadnell Bay, perfect for sandcastle-building, beach cricket and water sports – including kitesurfing, kayaking and wakeboarding. You can walk to the popular resort of Seahouses in 2.5 miles, where you will find shops, pubs, places to eat, sandy beaches and beautiful walks, and from where you can book a boat trip over to the Farne Islands, one of Europe’s most important bird sanctuaries. Bamburgh Castle, the iconic coastal fortress, is just 6 miles away, the dramatic ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle are 9.5 miles, Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum are 11 miles and the iconic Alnwick castle is 13.5 miles.
This welcoming house combines homely décor with comfortable furniture to create an attractive family retreat. On the ground floor is a large lounge with plenty of seating and a pebble-effect electric fire, a snug with a second TV, a music station and lots of games, CDs and DVDs, and a beautifully furnished formal dining room. The bright and well-equipped kitchen has another dining table for casual family meals and snacks. Also on this floor are a utility room with laundry facilities and a useful WC. On the first floor, a central upper hall leads to five beautifully decorated bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a king-size with an en-suite shower room, and a king-size, twin and single room all sharing the family bathroom and a bath. This upper floor also has a nursery room equipped with a wooden cot.
From the snug there is access to the back garden through glazed double doors. This fully enclosed outdoor space features a lawn and a patio with furniture and a BBQ – perfect for family meals in the fresh air. In addition, a large double garage is ideal for storing bikes and leisure gear, and houses a multi-game table for guests’ use.
