This stunning, bright, and spacious property offers a warm welcome to all guests. Enter into the hallway which has plenty of space to hang coats and place walking boots before heading into the well-equipped kitchen/diner. Cook up dinner while socialising with other guests sitting around the kitchen’s island. Enjoy a meal together at the adjacent dining table, or take a seat on the sofa while watching something on the Smart TV. Get cosy in the comfortable lounge with plenty of seating and a warming bioethanol fire. The first of the bedrooms is on the ground floor, a super-king with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. Heading upstairs, there are the remaining bedrooms and family bathroom. A second en-suite bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite shower room. There is also the third and fourth bedroom – one with a double bed and the other a lovely twin room.
Take the doors from the kitchen and enjoy dining alfresco on the decked balcony area. Location
Rock
This historic estate village has been owned by the same family for over 200 years. It is a designated conservation area centering around Rock Hall (a former small private preparatory school, now privately owned) and the Norman church of St Philip and St James. To the north of the village, you will find the village cricket ground, to the east the mill pond and further east, the sea. Rock is a 10 minute drive from Alnwick market town which has become famous in recent years for its castle and the role it played in Harry Potter films. The town has other buildings of historical interest, a traditional market square with farmer's markets and food festivals and the popular Alnwick Garden, the brainchild of the Duchess of Northumberland whose home is Alnwick Castle.
The village itself is surrounded by farmland and there are walks and trails for all ages. Of particular interest to some guests will be the pub in the neighbouring village of Rennington.
For further information on the area, see our Craster, Embleton and Alnmouth section.
