Description
For a relaxed, romantic retreat for two, book a stay at this charming one-storey property made of beautiful stone. It’s on the edge of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so expect plenty of impressive scenery and views during your trip – a true photographer’s delight. Seahouses is 1 mile away – why not head there on foot to get acquainted with the local area? This pretty coastal town has plenty of cafés and shops to explore as well as a lovely beach. There’s also a harbour where you can get a boat to the Farne Islands, famous for grey seals and puffins. Further afield, you may choose to visit Bamburgh (3 miles) where there’s a magnificent castle and another lovely sandy beach.
This cosy property has everything on one floor, starting with the open-plan living area, which is the first room you’ll enter. This spacious room has large windows plus an attractive vaulted ceiling with wooden beams, creating an airy and bright space. There’s a kitchen at one end with attractive units, plus a wooden dining table and chairs. At the other end of the room, the lounge area features a TV and a wood burner for keeping warm when it’s chilly outside. There’s a sofa bed which you can use to accommodate extra guests, should you need to. Underfloor heating throughout this property makes for a welcoming stay. The charming bedroom has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be made into twins on request at the time of booking. Its welcoming ambience makes it the ideal place for a good night’s sleep. Rounding off the accommodation is the family bathroom.
This property benefits from a small, enclosed garden at the front, where you’ll find a table and chairs so you can enjoy morning coffee in the fresh air.

Location
The Stables@Westfield is close to all the village amenities - shops, butchers, bakers (no candlestick maker tho), pubs & restaurants, newsagents, petrol station, library, resource centre for internet access, takeaways, and the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands, to see Puffins (May to July), Grey Seals and many other species of birds. The area is popular with birdwatchers and photographers.
Just 2.5 miles up the coast by road is Bamburgh and its wonderful castle on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach, and 15 miles south you'll find Alnwick Castle and Garden a popular spot for those with green fingers, and Harry Potter fans (the castle was Hogwarts and the site of the quiddich pitch in the 1st two films).
