Description
A stylish home that sleeps six in comfort, within a mile of the village’s shops (including a well-stocked supermarket), cafes, restaurants, pubs, and its busy working harbour. With multiple entertainment options and Smart TVs in all the rooms, this is the perfect holiday base, whatever the time of year. Visit the magnificent medieval Alnwick Castle, 15 miles, which featured as Hogwarts School in the Harry Potter films, and Brancaster Castle in Downton Abbey. Between March and October, take a boat trip to the nearby Farne Islands, Sir David Attenborough’s favourite place to see nature in the UK. Try a round of golf at the Seahouses Golf Club, 1 mile – a traditional links course in a spectacular setting next to the beautiful Annstead Coastal Reserve and its beach of golden sands.
Enter the house through the front door into a small porch, with a hanging rail for coats and somewhere to leave your boots. This leads into the main hallway, with a handy downstairs cloakroom just off it. The large open-plan kitchen/diner and spacious lounge are connected by double glass doors – so whoever is busy in the kitchen won’t feel cut off from the other guests. They are furnished and decorated in a contemporary style, with seating for six in both the lounge and the dining area. A door from the dining area leads out to a utility room for all your laundry needs, and a further door leads outside. Take the stairs from the main hall to the first floor to three bedrooms, each with a Smart TV and a king-size bed that can be split into 2'6'' twins if preferred. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and off the landing, there is a family bathroom.
Outside is the rear courtyard, enclosed by a stone wall and wooden fencing, which boasts a BBQ and garden furniture for al fresco dining. The garden to the front of the property is partly laid with chippings but also features a large, paved driveway with ample parking for two cars.
