Description
A beautifully converted 18th century cottage perched on the bustling harbourfront of Seahouses on the spectacular Northumbrian Coast. This contemporary hideaway is perfect for families and friends seeking a chic seaside retreat. Amble through the pretty streets and visit the local shops and cafes or indulge in a traditional pub lunch, 250 metres away. Head to the harbour and embark on an adventure to the Farne Islands for the chance to spot local puffins and grey seals perching on the rocks. Soak in the salty ocean breeze as you follow the coastal trail to Bamburgh, 3 miles, and spot the impressive castle towering above the shoreline.
This lovingly restored property boasts bright rooms, a crisp interior, and original features. Pass through the small courtyard to the cottage entrance, opening onto a convenient boot room. Relax in the open-plan ground floor space with a stylish, compact kitchen and a wooden dining table. Pour a nightcap and retreat to the lounge where you can curl up on the sofas and unwind with a movie on the Smart TV or fire up the Bluetooth speaker. The tranquil sleeping areas consist of a King-size master bedroom with a raised seating area and a balcony with ocean views, as well as a peaceful twin room with nautical design touches. The cottage is close to all the village amenities - shops, butchers, bakers (no candlestick maker tho), pubs & restaurants, newsagents, petrol station, library, resource centre for internet access, takeaways, and on the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands, to see Puffins (May, June & July), Grey Seals and many other species of birds.
