Description
Offering a peaceful setting with a huge amount of space all on one level, this property is perfect for a small family or small group of friends. The property is just a mile into the centre of Seahouses which has everything you could need for a great trip away. Seahouses is a thriving fishing village with a charming harbour as well as beautiful beaches stretching north and south from the town. One 6-mile beach walk will take you to the town of Bamburgh which has a pub and a castle. 15 miles south of the property is Alnwick Castle which was once used as the Hogwarts Castle in the Harry Potter films. Seahouses is located within the Northumberland coast’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and as you make your way down to the village, it’s easy to see why it's loved.
The cottage conversion has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with vaulted ceilings and beams and traditional arched windows with comfortable seating gathered around a wood burner. The kitchen is well equipped, and the dining room has a table with space for four. Two lovely bedrooms offer sleeping for four. With an en-suite shower room, the master bedroom can be made up as a super-king-size or a twin. A second double bedroom is an inviting space and has shared access to the main bathroom with its wet room-style shower and glossy black and white fittings. Heating is underfloor and there is a wood burner ideal for cosy autumn and winter breaks.
Outside, there is a pretty, enclosed garden patio area for guests which is perfect when the weather is fair.

Location
Steading Cottage is close to all the village amenities - shops, butchers, bakers (no candlestick maker tho), pubs & restaurants, newsagents, petrol station, library, resource centre for internet access, takeaways, and the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands, to see Puffins (May to July), Grey Seals and many other species of birds. The area is popular with birdwatchers and photographers.
Just 2.5 miles up the coast by road is Bamburgh and its wonderful castle on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach, and 15 miles south you'll find Alnwick Castle and Garden a popular spot for those with green fingers, and Harry Potter fans (the castle was Hogwarts and the site of the quiddich pitch in the 1st two films).
