Reviews

We had a lovely week in Admiral Cottage. Having read a review from August we were concerned, but following reassurances from Original Cottages that’s these comments/issues has been addressed we arrived and were really delighted with the cottage. Had everything we needed and well equipped. Would happily stop again and probably will.

Mrs T,

A lovely cottage in a good location. Cottage layout worked really well with bedrooms at each end of the cottage and living rooms in the middle. Lovely garden, ideal for kids and a dog.

Mr G,

Excellent garden ! Really private, great for sitting out after long walks. We took our camping chairs which were needed for comfortable sitting outside. Great Egyptian cotton bedding and comfortable beds.

Mrs A,

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Perfect garden for a dog.We had a wonderful stay. Thank you. We would definitely book again.

Rev D,

The cottage is perfect for a dog friendly family holiday.

Mrs S,

A wonderfully located cottage with a great back garden perfect for pups. The layout is good inside and easily accommodates 6 people. Lovely welcome packs. Would return

Mr L,

Beautiful location, with many interesting local features, areas of beauty, and historical buildings. A What to See pack would be a great asset.

Mrs S,

This a beautiful old cottage in the heart of Beadnell. It is a fabulous location within a short walk of the beach and lots of good pubs and places to eat. There is a spacious garden for dogs and children. It is well equipped and has 3 comfortable bedrooms to accommodate extended family parties. Unfortunately when we visited in December it was very cold and there was no fuel supplied for the log burner.

Mrs C,

The cottage has a nice feel and different to the normal. The two bathrooms are ideal when two couples are away together. It has plenty of outdoor space for children to run around and or pets to exercise. At the time of our stay it was cool outside but not cold and due to lack of insulation keeping the property warm wasn't easy the log fire was a great help after we had sourced somewhere to buy logs. Overall the property is pleasant and we enjoyed our stay, but the previous comments mean it is let down and not as good as a lot of previous properties we have used run by other agencies.

Mr L,

Our second visit and our last. The property has deteriorated. Carpets are very badly stained, as are the mattresses and quilts. Kitchen is well equipped but the crockery was dirty and we had to place everything in the dishwasher. There is mould on the nets in the bedrooms. The electric heaters do not sufficiently heat the property in winter. The sofas need replacing (and did last year) and need to provide comfortable seating for 6 people not 5. It is a beautiful cottage, in a great location, but desperately needs a deep clean and some investment.

Mr D,
