Reviews

Nice property, little bits let it down.

Mr P,

Had a lovely stay , loved the cottage , there was everything we needed. Thank you for the lovely welcome pack we really enjoyed it , the wine went well with our fish and chips on our first evening . A great start to a wonderful week ,so lucky with the weather. Would definitely stay again .

Mr C,

Shambles Cottage is in the perfect location in Beadnell close to everything. The owners thoughtful welcome pack went over and above anything we could wish for. Shambles has everything you need for the perfect stay and we shall return. We recommend Sunset Cruise from Seahouses, food at Jolly Fisherman Craster, Fish and chips from chippy van Beadnell Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles. Wonderful Cottage Wonderful Holiday

Mrs H,

The cottage was in an ideal location and was so very well equipped. The sheltered and private courtyard was an unexpected bonus.

Mrs W,

A lovely cottage, equipped extremely well with high quality accessories throughout the cottage. The welcome pack was excellent. Centrally positioned in Beadnell, close to places to eat and with easy access to the beautiful Beadnell Bay. Highly recommended.

Mrs S,

This is the second time we have stayed here so obviously we enjoyed our first visit. The accommodation is comfortable and well laid out and we particularly enjoyed having the TV room, the weather was mixed so we were able to heat the small space and feel cosy. We appreciated the welcome pack and the flowers were a nice touch. As we were only a couple we had the single beds made into a double - well worth it as they are very comfy and I prefer that bedroom.

Mrs B,

What a wonderful find The Shambles is! The owners have equipped this cottage to the highest standards and have thought about everything that would make the guests have the most comfortable stay. The very thoughtful and generous welcome pack and Easter treats were a fabulous addition to our stay. Thank you so much! The cottage is in a prime location with the local pubs, cafe, shop and beach all within a 5 - 10 minute stroll. We are already planning our next stay at the property!

Mrs. P,

Lovely cottage in a lovely village. The owners were great when we couldn’t find it ( our fault the fourth turn off looks like a private drive so discounted it) and had a small issue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this was a fantastic location to explore our first time in Northumberland. Fell in love with the area it is magical. Everything you would need was provided and appreciated the welcome hamper and salt / pepper/ kitchen towel etc that was there made this so easy to settle in quickly. The only very small niggle was the heating. It was on a fixed programme and we couldn’t work out how to override especially upstairs. This was fine when we were out most of the day but when it was raining and cold we relied on the wood burner - again amazing that kindling/wood was there for us. A fantastic holiday in one of the best holiday cottages we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend.
