So close to the harbour that you can almost feel the sea spray, this family-friendly cottage offers you everything you need to enjoy a holiday in one of the most picturesque coastal villages in Northumberland. A characterful array of shops, restaurants, bars and pubs lie within 500 metres, as does a sandy beach which leads to Bamburgh (3 miles) a village whose imposing castle has guarded the shore for centuries. There are water sports opportunities galore at Beadnell Bay (2 miles), while the 62-mile Northumberland Coast Path (0.5 miles) can open up a wealth of other sights and destinations.

Inside, the spacious home has a reverse-level layout to maximise its social spaces. The ground floor of the cottages comprises an en-suite twin bedroom, a family bathroom, a dressing room and a king-size bedroom, all boasting plush and refined furnishings. On the first floor, an equally attractive open-plan living room and kitchen/diner with views down to the harbour offers a range of social areas. Relax on the comfortable sofas and binge-watch your favourite shows on Netflix, or gather around the dining room table to share special meals together. A vast en-suite super-king-size bedroom with a TV, sofa and sea views dominates the second floor.

While there is no garden at this property, its proximity to the beach and the harbourside, which is always a fascinating spectacle when the fishermen return to shore, is the perfect substitute.

We had an enjoyable holiday in this well situated house. There was ample equipment to allow us to cook and enjoy the local produce especially the fish from Swallow smokery. The dedicated parking space was a bonus too.

This is a lovely property in a very good location. Well equipped and comfortable. Well placed for visiting Bamburgh, Lindisfarne and the other villages along the coast. We had a three year old in our party who found the stairs very easy to navigate as they have large risers. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely house.
