Access Statement

 

The aim of this statement is to provide accurate information to enable you to establish whether Mayflower Cottage will meet your access needs.  If you have any questions or require any further information, please do no hesitate to get in touch.

 

Parking/dropping off

There are two parking spaces in front of the garage.  Access to the house is through the back gate and via two steps. 

Level access to the front door is available from a dropping-off space approximately ten metres from the front door.  The dropping-off space has a pavement with a kerb.

 

Front door and level access

There is a permanent ramp to the front door.  From the front door there is level access to the open-plan living/dining-kitchen area, the utility and downstairs wc, and the separate sitting room.

Please note: Mayflower does not have a downstairs bedroom or bath/shower room.

From the rear of the property there is level access to the patio area.  The back gate and garden area have stepped access (two steps to reach the gate and a third onto the garden).

 

Stepped access

There are thirteen steps to the first floor, where bedrooms 1-4 and the family bathroom are situated.  Bedroom one has an en-suite bathroom with step-in shower cubicle.  The family bathroom has a shower over the bath.

A further fourteen steps lead to the second floor, where bedrooms five and six are situated, along with a further shower room with step-in shower.

A spacious seaside cottage nestled in a leafy neighbourhood on the outskirts of Seahouses and ideally located along the coastline of Northumbria. This seaside oasis is perfect for extended family get-togethers and groups of friends with dogs. Take a short stroll to the stretch of golden beach, 500 metres, or amble along the coastal path to Bamburgh, 3 miles, and revel at the magnificent clifftop castle. Venture into the bustling centre of Seahouses and refuel at one of the local cafes or seafood restaurants, 500 metres. Head harbourside, 900 metres, and set sail for the Farne Islands to spot the amusing puffins and grey seals.

This coastal property is brimming with luxurious design details and welcoming social spaces. Step into the bright family room, well equipped with toys and games to keep the little ones occupied. Enjoy an open-plan kitchen/diner with a calming colour scheme and sleek gloss cabinets. There is an additional king room and a children’s single bed on the second floor. The main family bathroom is located on the first floor.

Grab some nibbles and dine alfresco in the courtyard with outdoor furniture, overlooking the lush lawned garden.

Spacious, comfortable house, close to the beach, and not far from the town of Seahouses. Pretty well equipped, with 2 tvs, games and books. Kitchen also fine. Parking for 3 cars (2 off road).
