Description
This well-presented holiday home is in the centre of the popular seaside resort of Seahouses, a large village on the Northumberland coast and the perfect destination for a family seaside holiday. In a location designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this holiday home is a fantastic base for a walking or cycling holiday, with many beautiful coastal walks and trails to enjoy from the doorstep. There are several gorgeous sandy beaches within 0.5 miles of the property. St Aidan’s Beach is the most popular beach, which is just north of the harbour. You can spend the day here to enjoy surfing, windsurfing or kitesurfing, or just sit back and relax while the kids build sandcastles and play beach games. Seahouses is home to a prestigious golf course, and you’ll also find a fun mini golf course on the seafront. If you want to go diving, there are several different wrecks to explore. Many are accessible from the rocks of the Farne Islands (3.1 miles by ferry), where you might even spot some Atlantic grey seals.
The spacious lounge area is a welcoming place to relax with ample comfortable seating. You can curl up by the cosy wood burner with a hot drink or settle down on the sofa for a family film night. From here, patio doors lead to the garden and French doors take you to the adjoining spacious kitchen, which has a central dining table for sociable meals. From the kitchen, there are two sets of patio doors leading out to the garden. The property benefits from one king-size bedroom on the ground floor, which is served by an en-suite shower room. You’ll also find a WC on the ground floor. On the first floor, are four further bedrooms with flexible sleeping arrangements. There is a king-size room with an en-suite shower room; another king-size bedroom with an additional single bed and an en-suite shower room; a triple bedroom with three single beds; and a king-size bedroom with an additional single bed. The first-floor also includes a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Outside, the fully enclosed garden with an artificial lawn provides a safe space for children to play. You can also enjoy relaxed al fresco dining on the patio area with garden furniture. There is a bike store to the rear of the property, which provides storage for several bikes. A bike lock cable is provided for additional security. You’ll also find undercover hanging rails in the bike store, which are useful for hanging up wet clothes or wetsuits.
