Description

Located close to sandy beaches, shops, cafes, delicatessens, a theatre, bars and restaurants with a sea view at the end of the street so you can walk to all the local attractions and amenities. Longsands Beach (1 miles) is perfect for early morning walks with a dog-friendly zone open all year round. Watch the surfers and weekend fitness classes and enjoy coffee and brunch in the beachside eateries. Visit historic Tynemouth Priory and Castle on the headland, Tynemouth market in the station, and King Edwards Bay (less than 0.5 miles) accessible via steps, but well worth it for the beach and the renowned fish shack bar and grill. Stop at Cullercoats on route to Whitley Bay. Enjoy the scenic walk to North Shields Fish Quay (1 mile) for bars, cafes, seafood restaurants and working fishing boats. Take the ferry across the Tyne, and the Metro into Newcastle or drive (10 miles).

From the front door of this welcoming two-storey holiday home, you step into the hallway where you can hang your coats and store your shoes and boots. Head through to the lounge furnished with comfortable seating so you can relax and unwind in front of the cosy wood burner and enjoy a movie night on the Smart TV. Glazed double doors lead from the lounge into the well-equipped kitchen/diner with everything you need to make a range of delicious meals and drinks, including a gas hob, electric oven, an under-counter fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. Enjoy mealtimes sitting together at the dining table and in the warmer months, you can open the French doors for a little outside/inside living. A second door leads back into the hallway from the kitchen. On the first floor, there is a king-size bedroom with wall-to-wall wardrobes, a tranquil double bedroom and a lovely, single bedroom, perfect for either an adult or a child. The contemporary family bathroom completes the accommodation with a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside at the rear of the property, there is an enclosed, decked patio area with garden furniture, perfect for a morning coffee, and a foldaway clothesline if needed. At the front, there is a small, enclosed garden space, and from the gate, you can walk to the seafront at the end of the street or head directly to the local amenities. There is off-road parking for 1 car, plus a parking permit for 1 car for unallocated on-street parking nearby

Reviews

Great location, had everything we needed. Immaculate condition would definitely stay here again.

Mrs C,

Beautiful Cottage, Perfect Location... We don't live too far from Tynemouth and were looking for somewhere to rent while we had some work carried out on our home when we came across Blue Crab Cottage on an online search. We're so pleased we did. Firstly, the property is lovely. It has a nice cottage feel with real wood doors and frames, a lovely kitchen diner and cosy lounge. Very open and airy and extremely comfortable. The cottage is amazingly well equipped, full of top quality appliances and accessories. Nothing in the property has been done with the view that it'll do for a holiday let. Everything from the cutlery and utensils to the towels and bedding is of a really good quality. The location of the cottage is great, step out of the door and you're right on Tynemouth Front Street, full of nice bars, restaurants and coffee shops. Everything you need for a great stay. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to explore the north east coast or Newcastle, 25 minutes away by metro. Despite just looking for somewhere to stay out of convenience we ended up having an amazing holiday and not wanting to go home.
