A romantic fisherman’s cottage with a charming pastel exterior, ideally situated in the hamlet of Low Hauxley with access to the Northumbrian coastline. This beachside bolthole is the perfect retreat for couples seeking a peaceful getaway. Stroll along the sweeping shoreline at Low Hauxley beach and soak in the salty ocean breeze, less than 100 metres, or venture to the nature reserve and observe the local wildlife while you sip a coffee, 200 metres. Head to Amble harbour and set sail to Coquet Island then indulge in an exquisite seafood dinner in Amble, 2 miles.

This appealing property is brimming with rustic charm and contemporary design features. The cottage opens onto a cosy lounge area with exposed brick walls, a feature cast iron range, and vibrant soft furnishings. Step through into the light-flooded kitchen/diner where you can pop a bottle, grab some nibbles, and enjoy an intimate meal around the wooden table. Ascend the open staircase to the airy king-size bedroom with a desk area. There is a sleek walk-in shower room on the first floor as well as a separate WC on the ground floor.

Throw open the dining room doors and recline on the enclosed deck area with outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ.

We had an excellent stay at Lobster Pot cottage. Very cosy and comfy, and in the most fabulous area, with a lovely quiet beach close by and a lively nature reserve just a short walk. Parking could definitely be tight when other residents cars are also parked, but we managed ok.

Pleasant cottage a moment from the beach. The cottage is for 2 people even though there is enough seating, crockery and utensils to cater for many more. Well placed for visiting many of lovely the Northumberland beauty spots and even though there are no shops, pubs etc in the village you can find all you need a very short car ride away.

Enjoyable holiday to Northumberland, the cottage was so close to a lovely beach where we walked each evening collecting sea glass, ideal situation to discover all the castles and walks around the area, great market in Amble where we got lovely fresh salmon and crab! Almnmouth was a lovely little town by the sea with scrumptious fish and chips in the Whittlingham Hotel!!
