Reviews

Hepple Mill Cottage is in a truly delightful location away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The walks from the door are wonderful and it was perfect for our dog with good spaces for him to dry off if he got wet. The cottage was lovely and warm even though we had some very cold nights and the woodburning stove made the sitting room very homely. There was lots of hot water for baths after a day out on the Fells.

Mrs F,

The cottage was so clean, the decoration perfect, the beds were heavenly, the linen & towels just wonderful. We really couldn't have wished for anything better. I've now been to Hethpool at least 5 times & the cottage never disappoints - well done to all concerned.

Ms C,

Absolutely amazing location if you are looking for a remote cottage with breathtaking walks straight from the door. Fully enclosed garden was superb for our two dogs to carry out there patrols. Wifi was excellent considering the location. !Would definitely recommend! Thanks for having us, Dan and Liz

Mr C,

This cottage is delightfully situated close to a range of paths, including the St Cuthbert's Way. We enjoyed birdsong wherever we walked, saw many raptors, wild goats, hares and a wide range of invertebrates. Nature thrives here!

Mr W,

Wonderful warm & cozy cottage in a remote location. Beds very comfy. Plentiful supply of logs for the burner. Main bathroom upstairs is shared between the 2 rooms. The other bathroom is downstairs.

Miss H,

Lovely cottage in a fantastic quiet location in a beautiful valley. Well equipped with everything required in the kitchen to cook and a relaxing sofa in lounge for after dinner. Large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Low ceilings upstairs you will get used too, but if 6ft or taller you may have an issue moving around. Great walks in valley for all abilities.

Mrs F,

If anyone is looking for peace and quiet, amazing scenery, good walks and plentiful wildlife then this is perfect. Go outside when it's dark an see the milky way (which living in a town we haven't seen for years). From our point of view, this place was heaven!

Mr B,

Extremely Quiet location , safe enclosed garden for our dogs, Home from Home

Mrs D,

We came looking for peace and tranquillity and certainly found it in an all too short stay. Lets hope the next time is longer. Thank you.

As usual, so welcoming when we arrived (thanks to all concerned). Saw wild goats, adders, slowworms, curlews, heard cuckoo, larks, lapwings, deer. Bees providing constant background hum. So good to listen to the soundscape.
