Mrs H,

Fantastic view whatever the weather but especially when clear and sunny! Cottage had everything we needed.

Mrs D,

Comfortable and well equipped house, with fantastic views across to Simonside Crags from the sitting room. Within walking distance of good local shops, pub, fish and chip shop and a large Co-Op. Well positioned for access to the Northumbria coast, Hadrian’s Wall and National Park.

Dr C,

The interior of the house was well appointed- as shown on the web site and we had a good week with an ever changing view. Thank you.

Mrs T,

Loverly views from cottage and great location

Mr P,

Location

Rothbury

Rothbury is set along the River Coquet, an unspoilt river with salmon and trout fishing. The golf course is just over the bridge, should you be a keen golfer. You will enjoy some time spent at Cragside, a wonderful NT property packed full of quirky inventions with stunning gardens in spring and summer, the first house to be powered by hydro-electricity. Parking is free in Rothbury or you can leave the car behind and walk and explore, enjoying lunches or evening meals in the local hostelries. A few miles drive will take you over to Alnwick, home to the Duke of Northumberland, where he resides in the famous castle, which is open to the public and was used in some Harry Potter and Downton Abbey scenes.

Rothbury is ideally located for a day trip to the Northumberland National Park, well worth the effort in any season and Kielder Water Riverside has plenty of stopping-off picnic areas for the family. Northumberland Heritage Coastline makes for a wonderful day out where you can explore up and down the coastline taking in historic castles and some unspoilt golden beaches.
