Merging into Original Cottages - Homeowner FAQs
Aren’t I going to get more bookings if my property is on lots of websites, rather than shutting websites down?
Far from it. Our digital marketing team has carefully planned the transition of content from the website we are merging, to ensure that we boost the receiving website’s visibility in search results for key search terms. Not only that, by focusing our marketing resources on fewer brands, we can make those work even harder to bring you bookings through social media, advertising campaigns, google advertising and many more channels.
How will this affect our holidaymakers?
We have a full communications plan to ensure that all past, present and future holidaymakers are aware of the change in branding, and that this does not affect their arrangements in any way, other than that they will receive future communications from a different brand. We have reassured them that all brands are part of the Original Cottages Family and that they can expect the same great service.
How will you be able to provide a truly local service if you’re closing my local brand?
We are only changing the way we look and feel - the service we offer to you and the community will remain the same.
Will I need to change the welcome pack or other materials in my property?
Yes, and we’ll supply you with some fantastic new materials, once we have launched our new visual identity.
Will you still support our local community and local charities?
Yes we’ll still have a local presence and use that to support the initiatives and causes that are important to the communities that we work in.
