Reviews

The cottage was very clean, comfortable and in a great location to explore the local area.

Mr H,

This is a gem of a cottage. Perfectly situated to enjoy the sights. We parked at the bottom of the hill several times for walks and coffee at the Robin Hood pub which incidentally did very good meals. Also The Peacock at Cutthorpe was excellent. We appreciated all the extra touches that came with the cottage - bath lotions and potions, towelling dressing gowns (such a nice touch), cereals, marmalades, welcome hamper, thank you for this, much appreciated. So nice that the property can be secure for a pooch. Would highly recommend this property, you would not be disappointed.

Mrs E,

We really enjoyed are stay at Moorland view and would not hesitate to book there again the property was super clean and we had everything you would require for a very enjoyable stay thank you very much

Mr R,

A relaxing weekend in a lovely building.

Mr A,

We loved this property, very comfortable and warm. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome addition of breakfast, and snacks for humans and dogs, was very welcome. The bedrooms had good quality bed linen and towelling robes, and the bathrooms, high end toiletries. Good location for the Peaks, and would recommend following the owners suggestions for places to visit, as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Last but not least, very friendly welcome from the owners dogs in the adjacent garden, they were delightful!

Mrs J,

Lovely comfortable cottage with beautiful views. Had a lovely long weekend for family reunion. Weather not very wonderful but cottage was warm and snug.

Mrs T,

The cottage is a lovely size and in a perfect location for local sights and villages. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The owner was easily contactable and was helpful in suggesting local areas of interest and things to do. There was a lovely welcome pack and even a few treats for our dog.

Mrs O,

An absolute hidden gem of a property! It was beautifully furnished, very comfortable, and met all our needs. We felt very welcome here; a home from home. A lot of barn and other conversions are not that great, but this property ticks all of the boxes; understated luxury! The king size bed (downstairs) was very comfortable, which is very important, and the downstairs bathroom was very nice with a lovely bath and shower. The other bedrooms and bathroom looked very nice, especially the upstairs one, but we preferred the downstairs king size bed one for our stay. The kitchen had everything you needed (the breakfast and coffee pack was a nice touch) and we loved the views from here. The dogs enjoyed the garden attached to the property and it was nice to have access to the bigger garden (owners?) as well. The views from the property overall from inside, as well as outdoors, of the moors in the two seating areas were wonderful; we spent many an evening with a glass of wine watching the clouds, landscape, and the cows and sheep. We ate a few evenings at the Robin Hood pub at the end of the road and very close to the property that was great value and dog friendly. Cannot recommend this property more for exploring the Peak District. Chatsworth House is only 5 minutes away by car, as are many other fantastic other places to visit. If you are a National Trust member, you will certainly get your money's worth in the Peaks!
