Description

The unspoilt village of Warslow is located in the Peak District, with moorlands and woodlands just a little under a mile away and the Manifold Walk is just over a mile from the door. There is an 18th Century Coaching Inn that offers good food and real ale just 100 metres from the cottage. If you venture to the top of the village, then you will be rewarded with the incredible views of Ecton Hill and the beautiful valleys that surround this village. Thor’s Cave is just a little over 3 miles away and offers an adventurous exploration inside the natural cavern set in a steep limestone crag in the Peak District. Hartington, a hive of activity with an ice cream parlour, famous cheese shop, pubs, cafes and circular walks and Wetton Mill, with a quaint tea room and wonderful views, are both within a 3-mile radius.

The cottage itself is one of a pair of old farmworkers' cottages, lovingly restored to offer spacious and comfortable accommodation for two and benefits from an enclosed rear garden with views over the surrounding fields and hills.

First Floor:

The stairs take you up to a half-landing leading to the

Shower Room: with walk-in shower enclosure, WC and basin.

A further four stairs lead direct into the

Reviews

Cottage very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Good location with nice views, really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again!

Mrs S,

We spent 10 days at Hobcroft Cottage and had a really enjoyable time. Great location, lovely views and superb walks straight from the door. Lovely pub within walking distance with others a few minutes drive away. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Very comfortable bed. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Mr H,

Lovely stay - comfortable, cosy, quirky. Stunning views and beautiful door-to-door walks.

Ms T,

Very well equipped cottage, lovely comfortable bed.

Mrs S,

Perfect quaint cosy cottage for two. Stunning Views from the kitchen and bedroom . Very clean and well equipped, providing extras like, foil, cling film, dish cloth/pan cleaner, washing up liquid, wash detergent. A good stack of wood was provided with fire starters too. Comfortable bed, with lovely pillows. Plenty of towels. Well positioned plug sockets in the bedroom. Great location for visiting, Hartington, The Roaches, Tittesworth reservoir and Leek town centre offers a good range of supermarkets, coffee shops and independent shops. Good range of information leaflets provided to help plan your days out.

Mr F,

Hobcroft cottage is in a beautifully situated, within easy location of Hartington, Buxton, Bakewell, Dovedale and many other beautiful areas of the peak district. The cottage is beautifully presented and had everything we needed for our four night stay. The local pub, the Greyhound is within 5 minutes walking distance and is friendly and served great food.. We would highly recommend and will book again.

Mrs B,

Lovely well equipped cozy cottage.

Miss H,

Lovely cottage in the perfect location to explore the area. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Nice and clean and well arranged. We would stay again.

Mrs A,

The cottage is lovely, perfect location for going off and exploring, lots of nice pubs nearby, would especially recommend the Devonshire Arms in Hartington. The cottage is lovely and cosy, has everything that you need to enjoy your stay. The welcome box was a very nice touch, lovely views from the cottage as well. The neighbourhood cats are also very friendly!

Mrs W,

Peace and tranquility personified. Great quality accommodation, easy access and friendly hosts. Nice town with easy access to larger towns and everything you could need. Quality bed and bedding. Friendly neighbour cows were nice to look at. Friendly cats next door too. Would definitely stay again.

Mr D,

We had a great week - the cottage is very well appointed and located, and we felt very much at home there. Terry and Sandra provided a lovely welcome hamper and helped clear space for secure bike storage.

Mr H,

A lovely, very comfortable and well equipped cottage. We enjoyed our stay there. Lovely views.

Mr B,

Excellent cottage full of extras you don't always get, soap, tea towels, toilet paper etc.

Mrs M,

Enjoyed our stay. The cottage was cosy and comfortable. Would happily go back for a longer visit. Lovely views from the garden.

Mr W,

Small but very clean, comfortable, well equipped, cottage. Ideally situated close to Buxton, Bakewell, Leek and Ashbourne. The only drawback was the weather being cold and wet for a holiday in early June. Perhaps could have done with a small table and a couple of chairs but probably nowhere to fit them in.

Mr S,

Comfortable bed and quality towels.

Mr L,

Hobcroft Cottage has been really well converted from farm buildings to a lovely, cosy cottage perfect for couples who enjoy the outdoors. The wood burning stove was so nice to come back to after a day’s walking. There are walks from the cottage into the Manifold Valley.and many more within an easy driving distance. The local pub with its own micro brewery serves excellent food.
