Description
Stay at this unique holiday cottage in the Rhins of Galloway and experience an unspoiled paradise and a place to unwind. While staying at this quirky home, you can take in the lighthouse's history with its Mull of Galloway Experience, where you can enjoy spectacular views from the viewing platform and dig into the history of the lighthouse's engine room. Birdwatchers and nature spotters will be in their element with the opportunity to glimpse dolphins, porpoises and many sea birds. Visit the Logan Botanic Garden (11.5 miles), most arguably Scotland's most exotic garden, or wander the rhododendrons in the Logan House Garden (11 miles). The Rhins of Galloway boasts 50 miles of breathtaking coastline, with walking trails and golden beaches to explore, including Cairngarroch Bay (6 miles) and Drummore Bay Beach (5.5 miles). Need re-energising? Pop into Gallie Craig Coffee House (0.2 miles) for a hearty meal, cup of tea and first-class seats at incredible cliffside views.
Enter the bungalow through the hallway, where you'll be greeted with generous space to store hats, coats and scarves. The comfortable, welcoming lounge/diner features deep, pillow seating, a wood effect burner electric fire and a TV, perfect for a cosy evening in after a day at the beach. Heading to the back room for the kitchen. Shaker-style cabinets and ample equipment await hungry guests, and the dining table in the lounge/diner is ideal for seating four. Back in the hallway, cross into the twin bedroom, where you'll discover two single beds and a vanity unit. The double and twin bedrooms at the back of the property boast crisp linens and plenty of storage space. Finishing off the floor is the family bathroom with a bath, shower, and WC.
Step outside and onto the shared lawn, which boasts a picnic table and lovely views across Luce Bay. You can also admire the lighthouse here. There is private parking for two cars and private guests' parking next to the lighthouse.
