Description
Tucked away in the centre of Blythburgh, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just inland from the popular coastal gems of Southwold and Walberswick. The banks of the river Blyth are just a short walk away (0.5 miles) via a footpath across the field behind the house. Blythburgh beach is a grassy bank on the river with access at high tide for wild swimming and crabbing. The village pub is a lovely walk along the estuary and has a large garden with outstanding views. In the opposite direction, the charming seaside village of Walberswick (3 miles), with two wonderful pubs, an excellent deli, and an ice cream shop. Don’t forget your crabbing gear (which can be purchased at the village shop) as the creeks by the Quay are lined with hopeful crab catchers! You can also hop over the harbour to Southwold on the ferry in the summer months too.
This family holiday home for six guests has been wonderfully renovated and furnished to create an interior design haven, with a beautiful, natural, and calming colour pallet of soft greys, warm neutrals, and rich blues throughout. The hub of the home is the dual aspect living and dining spaces where light floods in through the floor-to-ceiling windows and has far-reaching views across the fields and beyond. The kitchen is small yet perfectly formed with plenty of storage and fully equipped for your self-catering stay. A handy utility room, just off the kitchen, boasts additional storage and washing facilities too. Upstairs is a continuation of the Scandi, chic and stylish interiors with all three bedrooms boasting your own private piece of paradise. The main bedroom with a king-size bed has stunning views across the fields and garden. A twin bedroom boasts the same whilst a bunk bedroom to the front of the property is the ideal spot for children, with plenty of toys to play with too! The modern family bathroom with its funky tiles is back on the ground floor and services all three bedrooms. Rest and relaxation are paramount in this property so make sure you take five in the cosy corner snug with a good book, laze in front of the telly with a roaring fire or bask in the glorious Suffolk sunshine in the gorgeous garden. Beautifully landscaped with plants, shrubs, grasses, and flowers, this attractive garden is an oasis away from the hustle bustle of the nearby seaside towns.
Enjoy alfresco dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner or just simply sit with a cup of tea watching the clouds glide by and the birds dancing in the sky. In the evening the sunsets over the field at the back of the house are amazing. At night you might be lucky enough to hear the local Owl.
