Description
Situated in a picturesque part of Suffolk with stunning countryside enveloping the property, this is the perfect country getaway. Wildlife and walking are two key features to relish here with many well-trodden footpaths nearby. It's also a popular area for cycling with lots of quiet country lanes to explore. Bungay is just 5 miles away and has an excellent award-winning dairy where you can purchase fresh milk and delicious cheese, grab a coffee and see the pretty Montbeliarde herd. Heading towards the coast, you will reach Halesworth (5.5 miles), a thriving market town with independent shops to peruse. The popular seaside town of Southwold is just 13 miles from the property and is a must-visit for your stay. Enjoy the delights of the eccentric pier amusements and build sandcastles on the beach before finishing the day with a chippy tea as you watch the waves from Gun Hill. The idyllic coastal village of Walberswick, famous for its crabbing bridge, is only 13 miles away.
Painted in the famous ‘Suffolk Pink’ colour, which can be seen on many period countryside properties across the county, this charming 17th-century cottage has been lovingly renovated throughout to create this warm, welcoming, yet deceptively spacious holiday abode. The interior of this property has a country farmhouse feel, especially in the beautiful sage green kitchen which is fully equipped with all contemporary appliances and everything you could need for your self-catering stay. The dining space has seating for six so you can enjoy meals together, and both the dining and living area enjoy a dual-sided wood burner where you can cosy up next to the roaring fire on either side. The underfloor heating adds to the cosy feel of the cottage. This rural bolthole offers accommodation for four guests across two bedrooms, one double and one super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom, making it the ideal escape to the countryside for both families and friends.
Heading outside, the surrounding garden of this holiday home is the cherry on top. Set within half an acre of land, the garden has a wonderful dedicated patio area with seating and dining space as well as wildflowers and stunning views of the surrounding fields and countryside.
