Description

This charming property lies in Ufford, a small village on the outskirts of the riverside town of Woodbridge that has a welcoming pub, golf course and spa. For any budding golfer, there are an additional two golf courses, Seckford Hall and Woodbridge Golf Club, within 5 miles of the cottage. Woodbridge itself is just 3 miles away and has an excellent array of independent shops, bakeries, cafes, and pubs to peruse. There is a wonderful walk that meanders along the banks of the river Deben, where you can watch water birds wading in the shallows and sailing boats floating by. Over the river is the archaeological site of Sutton Hoo (3 miles) which is well worth a visit if you are interested in the local history. For those looking for a base for work purposes, Hope Cottage is an ideal location being close to the A1, Sizewell, BT and Ipswich Hospital. The quintessential village of Orford is a 12-mile drive through Rendlesham Forest and is a beautiful destination to visit the castle, Orford Ness and the renowned Pinney’s of Orford.

Seamlessly blending contemporary comforts with rustic charm, this cosy cottage for two is the perfect romantic retreat. Step inside and you are welcomed into the living room complete with comfy seating, a Smart TV for entertainment and an inviting open fire that adds warmth and ambience. The cottage extends to a well-appointed kitchen which allows guests to prepare and cook meals with ease. The luxury continues upstairs with a beautiful bedroom featuring a king-size bed and a contemporary bathroom that boasts both a large walk-in shower and a separate bath.

The enclosed garden with artificial grass captures the sun in the mornings, making the summer house a great spot for your first cup of coffee. There is also a bistro dining table to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner too.

Reviews

Cottage was perfect

Mrs W,

The cottage was situated in a lovely village location and everybody we encountered on our dog walks was very friendly. We visited many local places which were mostly within a twenty minute drive and would really recommend a visit to Snape Maltings, Framlingham and Orford. The wonderful weather was a real bonus! We’d definitely recommend this cottage for a stay.

Mr D,

Nice cosy little cottage ideal for a short break for two

Mr B,

The cottage is beautiful, clean, well decorated and well equipped. There is some traffic noise from the road outside and the car has to be parked out if site from the house in a road opposite the house which is not ideal. Having said that the car came to no harm. Would recommend if you're not worried by the parking.

Mrs W,

Lovely cottage for a relaxing break. Well situated to explore the surrounding area. Very comfy bed and a wealth of pots, pans and utensils in the kitchen.
