Reviews

A “bijou” cottage, not really suitable for 4 despite the 2 bedrooms. Tastefully decorated with a large selection of beautiful ceramics, things covering every surface but with the kitchen being so small maybe one shelf could be cleared so there was somewhere to put food supplies instead of taking up valuable worktop space. Nice garden , good for dogs. Despite being so close to the pub it is very quiet at night. Great location for exploring the wider area. No information folder with details on operating instructions, WiFi code, recycling etc which is very unusual or visitors book.

Mrs P,

The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. The area is convenient for touring around. The pub was very convenient for meals. The local supermarket was well stocked.

Mrs G,

Lovely cottage, with lots of original features and in a great location. Highly recommend it.

Mrs F,

The cottage is quaint and cosy and in a perfect position for lovely walks, visiting Rye, and going off to the beach. The pub next door was a great bonus. Lovely food and lovely staff. We were disappointed however with the garden. The grass was very long and there was a bath and sink left outside by the patio area. Also a bench that you really wouldn't want to sit on. It was a great shame, as we had lovely weather and would have enjoyed sitting out there. If the garden was tidied up, I'd have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Mrs K,

Overall - more than acceptable.

Mr W,

A lovely characterful cottage in a good location. A nice enclosed private garden with views to the adjoining field of sheep and lambs. In better weather splendid for BBQs and outside dining. Inside the property is compact but well decorated and cosy with very comfortable beds and nice linen. Appreciated the many books and games and the Welcome basket contents.

Mrs L,

Ideal for a short break. Pub next door so no need for major cooking. Comfortable sofas and beds, warm and cosy. 2 minutes from Rye for any shopping or takeaways can be delivered. Lots to see and do in the area.

Mrs K,

Cute little cottage, well equipped and extremely quiet.
