Description
Nestled in the medieval town of Rye and overlooking the ‘Town Salts’ part of the town a former salt marsh and close to the local fishing fleet, the property is just moments from the restaurants and shops, within easy reach of the nearby towns of Tenterden, Hastings, and the beautiful sandy beach at Camber Sands. Historic Bodiam Castle, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and Great Dixter House and Gardens are close by too, perfect for those looking to soak up a bit of local culture. With a wide range of footpaths and cycle routes on the doorstep, this is the perfect base for a couples and families looking to escape it all.
The entrance to the cottage leads you into a small hallway where there is space for dropping coats and shoes, and a door that leads into the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The well-appointed kitchen area has an electric oven and hob, fridge, washing machine and Nespresso coffee machine. A circular dining table with four chairs defines the dining area and the lounge area has a comfy sofa, armchair, TV, DVD Player, DAB Radio and french doors that overlook the patio area. Stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a double bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, bath and WC. A further set of stairs leads up to the second floor where you will find a second double bedroom with TV.
Outside, there is a secluded patio area which has a patio table and chairs, and charcoal BBQ. Directly opposite the cottage is a large grassy parkland area and children’s playground, great for letting the little ones or four-legged friend run around. Guests can unload their car outside the property and there is a car park just a walk away. (Local charges apply)
