Description

Sleeping up to 14 people Escheatlands comprises three beautifully renovated barns with all modern conveniences but retaining charm and character.  They are located in a stunning setting amidst beautiful countryside on a working farm.  The properties all feature sliding patio doors making the most of the lovely views and allowing in plenty of natural light.  The barns are in a tranquil secluded valley, but within easy reach of both medieval Rye and the pretty town of Tenterden where there are plenty of individual shops, cafes restaurants and historic buildings to visit.  This is a great area for the whole family with Bodiam boating station just down the road where you can hire a boat on the River Rother, or take a steam train via Bodiam Castle or Tenterden.  The coast is under half an hour away with miles of beautiful beach at Camber Sands, where you can go sand yachting, kite buggying or just chill out amongst the sand dunes.  With so much to do on the doorstep there will be something to suit everybody and you may need a return visit.  Shop: 3    Pub: 0.7  Coast: 9.2

Reviews

An excellent venue for a group of retired couples to spend New Year together.

Mrs B,

Excellent facilities and thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Mr B,

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend with family in the 3 barns at Escheatlands. The barns were spacious, clean and very comfortable. We can recommend without hesitation.

Mrs S,

This cottage is stunning. The location is nearby some key attractions, for example Oxney Vineyard, yet we still felt like we were in our own little world in the middle of the farm. The rooms were clean and had what we needed and we loved the welcome baskets each cottage had! One of our favourite parts were meeting the little four legged feline guests, they were very accommodating. Beautiful surroundings and very relaxing. Would come back again for sure!

Miss O,

A wonderful place to stay, especially if you have young children/grandchildren. The owner was very friendly and got the children interested in caring for the animals on the farm which is a very safe place for children to play. The cottages are well appointed and a brilliant place either for extended families or groups of friends with their families to get together. We were there to celebrate a special birthday, youngest child 4, oldest adult 70!

Mrs H,

Excellent accomodation

Mr K,

Three very comfortable warm cottages. We are a family of 8 adults, 6 children (3 to 8 year olds), baby of 12 weeks and a dog. The cottages were perfect for us, especially as the bigger cottage was large enough for everyone to come together comfortably. The children loved seeing the farm animals! We all found it a great base got exploring the area.

Mrs N,

we rented all 3 properties at Escheatlands for a birthday celebration for family members aged 8 week to 93 years old and it was comfortable for everyone. Reynards had plenty of room for all 14 of us to gather together for meals etc. but it was also nice that everyone had some space with Medlars and Waders cottages sleeping 4 in each. It was a great location to explore surrounding coast and country side and we would definitely like to return sometime.

Mrs Y,
