Description

The Parlour is a stunning conversion of an original dairy, which has been transformed into a fantastic holiday retreat set in a peaceful location on the edge of the village of Brede.  The owner has incorporated many of the original beams which have been lovingly restored, combined with many contemporary features giving The Parlour both character and a luxurious, modern style. The location is excellent for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside and the nearby coastline. Rye is only seven miles away - with its many antique shops, cafes and restaurants and the golden seven mile long beach at Camber is an easy drive. A short walk takes you to two village pubs and the views from the farm drive - on the way to one of the pubs - is spectacular.   Shop: 0.5 miles  Pub: 500 yards  Coast: 6 miles

Reviews

Well a bit of a disaster on the first day as the boiler had broken down before our arrival. However the plumber was there working on the boiler with Mark the owner when we arrived, diagnosed and part ordered. Over the next two days Mark popped around to make sure we were alright and supplied two electric heaters as well as offering the use of a shower in the adjoining property. You can't ask for more than that and shows what a good host he was. The house is well laid out with three double bedrooms and the beds were so comfy. Loved the shower in our room. The dining room table accommodated the five of us easily and then we lounged out on the settees. Outside there is a table and chairs for Al fresco dining too bitter to sit out there at the beginning of the week, but did sit there towards the end as the weather warmed up. Nicely positioned for touring the area. Thank you Mark and Hannah for being great hosts.

Mr H,

The Parlour is set in a lovely location in beautifully kept grounds. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and catered for all our needs, it is very warm and cosy. The local Pub which is so close serves an excellent meal in a very friendly atmosphere.

Mr G,

Really lovely cottage in a good location, lots of things to do nearby and a great pub within walking distance. We all had a great week.

Mrs H,

Not very homely due to colour of furniture and. Curtains and lack of pictures etc. otherwise good

Miss A,

Excellent cottage, very comfortable and well equipped. The outside area is very good. Great pub in walking distance!

Mr M,

We really enjoyed our stay at The Parlour. It is a lovely, spacious cottage in a beautiful location. The garden was very pretty and our grandchildren loved the large lawn which provided a perfect space for them. It was high up with lovely views from the access road. We would certainly come again.

Mrs B,

Lovely quiet location, good links to Rye, Hastings and pretty villages nearby. Cottage very clean and well appointed.

Mrs D,

Lovely property in a lovely quiet location, owner very helpful and friendly would recommend for a quiet stay within reach of several places to visit. A nice pub in village with great food highly recommended.

Mr E,

The Parlour was just what we needed for three adult couples. Accessible, comfortable, warm and well equipped. Close to good local pub/dining and within easy access to the old towns of Rye and Hastings and some good fine dining restaurants. Would love to go back in the summer for surrounding countryside and walks. Very friendly and helpful owners and good value for money.
