Description

This property is simply perfect for families of all ages and has been designed with great flair and attention to detail. There are exposed beams in the spacious open plan sitting room and under floor heating throughout to chase the chills away. There is a third bedroom accessed via bedroom 2 which makes it ideal as a family room, for children to share or for a carer.  This room can be hired for extra charge. Wheelchair accessibility has been given great thought - access from the car to the house being completely flat and one bedroom having an en-suite wet room. The Cowshed is located on the owners' farm within walking distance of the pub at Bodle Street Green and is in the most wonderfully quiet location with a pond right outside your front door, fenced for safety - home to the many resident ducks! The property is ideally located for entertaining the children at the Herstmonceux Science Centre or Drusillas Park and not far from Bedgebury Pinetum with it's "Go Ape" tree top walk and for the grown ups, Batemans, Pashley Manor Gardens and Battle Abbey are all close by.  The seaside is only seven miles away at Pevensey Bay and you can enjoy the many trails and rural walks right from your doorstep.

Reviews

A very pleasant stay for two couples in The Cowshed ,a good size and comfy accomadation. Owner was friendly . We went to the very nearby White Horse pub for dinner on two nights ,decent food , friendly landlord and his wife ,who is also the chef . Much to see in the area of East Sussex and Winston Churchill's house , Chartwell is just an hours drive away .

Mrs J,

This property is in an ideal spot for touring places of interest in E Sussex. It was ideal for my disabled husband with every amenity catered for. It is furnished to a very high specification & had everything needed for a comfortable holiday & lovely surrounding countryside. The local nearby pub serves delicious food as does the Indian restaurant in Herstmonceux. We had a very enjoyable holiday!

Mrs S,

Although we are all able-bodied, we could see the care and attention put into making this an accessible cottage and would definitely recommend this to friends who are less mobile. A very peaceful and beautiful location.

Miss W,

Excellent base for visiting East Sussex and Kent well equipped and spotlessly clean. Owners very friendly.
