Description

Nestled in the heart of the historic town of Lewes which boasts an array of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants along with easy access to the Sussex coastline, this welcoming property is perfect for foodies and walkers alike. Explore the town’s medieval streets, visit Lewes Castle and Museum to learn about the local history, or explore Anne of Cleves House (all within 1 mile). Keen walkers can explore the nearby South Downs National Park (11 miles), while those looking to soak up the local culture can enjoy the renowned summer concerts at Glyndebourne Opera House (3 miles) or explore the first property acquired by the National Trust in Alfriston (10 miles). Lovers of wine should head to the Rathfinny Wine Estate (12 miles), one of Europe’s largest privately owned vineyards, while those looking for a vibrant day out will enjoy a trip to Brighton, which is only 9 miles away.

Step into this cosy, three-storey retreat for two and kick off your walking boots in the entrance hall before heading upstairs to the social heart of the house where you’ll find a well-appointed kitchen/diner and a separate, chic lounge. After days of adventure, find all you need in the stylish kitchen to whip up romantic feasts for two, to be enjoyed at the cute breakfast bar here, out on the furnished roof terrace, or down in the courtyard garden. The kitchen leads through into the lounge, where comfy seating is arranged around a Smart TV and a pebble-effect electric fire. When day turns to night, head upstairs where a delightful large double bedroom awaits, and start each day with a rejuvenating shower in the well-equipped, separate shower room that completes the interior.

A door from the kitchen leads out onto a roof terrace that offers a morning sun trap, perfect for enjoying a coffee and pastry. A set of stairs from the roof terrace leads to the peaceful courtyard garden where there are multiple seating areas for enjoying the sunshine and al fresco meals all afternoon and into the evening.

Reviews

A very nice apartment, comfortable, outside seating area for the morning Sun for breakfast and Sun trap for the afternoon. Ideally located at the end of the High Street close to local pubs and restaurants. Explore the area by foot, road or rail. It's all a available from Nulli Secundus. Would definitely recommend.

Mr C,

An absolutely superb location, very comfortable, very clean and exceptionally well fitted out. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and attended to our enquiries very promptly. We would definitely return to this property if we were on holiday in the area again.

Ms L,
