Sleeping two guests and one beloved bow-wow, the property offers ample space both indoors and out to relax in-between rewarding walkie adventures in High Weald and along the coast. Pack plenty of tennis balls to explore the nearby Brede High Woods (3.5 miles), a mystical woodland area with a mighty reservoir that your pet will adore sniffing a route around, always listening out for wildlife whilst on the go.

Truly one-of-a-kind, this cylindrical property is conveniently laid out as a reverse level to make the very most of the views from the first-floor lounge/diner space. This lovely room features a curved wall, comfortable seating a dining table with space for four, a wonderful choice for getting cosy on an evening. Find the kitchen just next door and a bathroom on this level. You’ll need to wander downstairs to find your bedroom and the main family bathroom. The king-size room is generous in size, perfect for placing your pet’s favourite bed in the corner so that they can rest alongside you. From this floor, step outside to find a pleasant patio space that’s enclosed for your pet to freely roam, while you sit besides the fire pit.

Discover plenty of pet-friendly pursuits in the nearby towns and villages or all the vibrant countryside that lies in between. The nearest village is Sedlescombe just 1 mile walk away and here you’ll find a welcoming pub and handy convenience store just a gentle dog-walk away. Further afield is the town of Battle (3 miles), a history-steeped town with a little bit more to see and do when exploring on foot. Jump in the car to visit Hastings (7.5 miles), the coastal town with a pebble beach that’s dog-friendly in areas.

Reviews

We have a lovely time very well equipped and dog friendly..very unique property thank you for our stay

Mrs K,

Very clean, well equipped and perfectly located. We loved the location next to a private airfield which was ideal for walking our dog. Would highly recommend.

Previous Customer,

Amazing accommodation in a great location.

Mrs S,

We really loved the Corn Bin. It is like a tardis! The bed was very comfy, the sitting room was peaceful with lots to look at through the windows, the kitchen was spotless and fantastically well-equipped. It even had a sharp sabatier knife! The outside sitting area is beautifully planted and the chairs comfy. There are beautiful toads living among the leaves under the holly bush. We had daily chats with the horses and the light aircraft. There is loads to do in the area and the night skies over the airfield are dark and starry. We were happy, our dogs were happy. Thank you so much for a wonderful, relaxing week.

Mrs R,

A great place to stay. Not far from Hastings. And is in the middle of some great walks, and English heritage and national trust properties to visit. There are some great places to eat too. "A21 Aroma".. fabulous!!

Mrs E,

Really excellent cottage and a very interesting conversion - congratulations to the owners on a job well done. A spacious and efficient design, all the necessary alliances. Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect location for visiting the sites in the area or just walking in the countryside, woods or pebble beaches. We will definitely return.

Mr C,

Really great location and peaceful until the planes move around. Not a very busy airfield so not a big problem with noise. Dog owners need to know the garden is not enclosed so not safe to let dogs out if not on lead, especially if planes are being moved. Stairs are quite steep but manageable. Great private walks around the farm grounds to let dogs run free and a safe enough distance from the airstrip in case of plane activity. Lots of sites to visit within a short car drive and fantastic beaches for dog runs with lots of dog friendly pubs in the area. The TV aerial failed but was fixed within the hour after contacting Sophie who was really helpful. A great week away.

Mr S,

A really lovely property with plenty of room & well equipped. Enjoyed watching the planes landing & taking off from the airstripat the rear of the property. It was great for our elderly dog with lots of short walks for him. Nestled in beautiful surroundings. Lots of nearby places to visit, Old Hastings, Battle, Rye to name but a few. Will definitely be making a return visit.

Mrs N,

The Corn Bin was let down by poor cleanliness especially in the kitchen area. Needs a deep clean and update. Basics such as exiting electric gate on departure day need to be sorted. Shame as it has such potential as a quirky place to stay. It was comfy and cosy on the plus side but sadly the neglected feel of the place spoils the experience.

Mr P,

A lovely unique stay. Garden is not enclosed for dogs but that is a small point. Very peaceful. Lovely to stroke the horses. Too wet for the long walks but great countryside.

Mrs T,

The accommodation was lovely. Very spacious and warm.

Mrs S,

Lovely and peaceful unique place to stay. The Corn Bin was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our week away. Left feeling refreshed.

Mrs A,

Lovely place and peaceful even the odd private small aircraft didn’t spoil the peacefulness. Nice to be able to walk straight from property with dog. Be aware that there are a lot of wild rabbits and some of the fields have sheep. Courtyard not dog secure. Property is spacious and comfortable.

Mrs A,

If you are looking for something a little quirky the Corn Bin fits the bill. Set in beautiful country side with lots of walks for the dog. The planes really do not bother you so it is very peaceful. Ideal for exploring the history associated with East Sussex. Lots of farm shop around for the excellent Sussex cheese and apple juice. Fridays there is a farmers market at nearby by Brede. Our only slight negative was the size of the towels.. but too small!

Mr R,

Spacious property, very peaceful. Great area to explore.
