This retreat is set high in the hillside offering breathtaking views across the cool festival town of Crickhowell, offering both spacious and beautifully finished accommodation that’s perfect for any occasion. The hillside hamlet of Dardy forms part of the vibrant village Llangattock, well served with a pub and restaurant, and surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park. A haven for outdoor enthusiasts, walkers can take advantage of some great hillsides including Table Mountain and Sugar Loaf, or enjoy a leisurely amble along the Brecon Canal towpath – for cyclists there is a network of country lanes to explore. Other activities include boat hire, horse riding, canoeing, and climbing, all within 15 miles. The vibrant market town of Crickhowell has a range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants and is just under 1 mile away. Other attractions include the Big Pit at Blaenavon, The National Show Caves and the Brecon Mountain Railway all within (25 miles).
This beautiful home is steeped in history, formally serving as an infirmary to a local workhouse and now a stylish holiday home for family and friends to enjoy. Guests can take some time to admire the views across the valley from the front terrace. Enter the house via the front, where a spacious entrance hall awaits with exposed stone walls and a cantilever staircase, offering plenty of space for muddy boots and coats after a day of exploring. The ground floor is perfect for getting together, with a generously sized front aspect lounge perfect for pre-dinner drinks from the small bar, along with a Smart TV, a table suitable for up to 16, and when dinner is over, you are free to relax in the second lounge area that enjoys a wood burner, Smart TV and pool table. For the chef amongst you, a fantastic catering style kitchen has everything that you could ask for, great for catering for larger groups. This stylish home has two cantilever staircases that climb to the first floor, where guests have the choice of seven individually finished bedrooms all enjoying en-suite facilities. A small king-size bedroom with en-suite shower over bath and WC, two zip-and-link king bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room and one with bathroom, one king room with en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower and WC, and a small double room (double bed) with a walk-in shower and WC. Finally, on this floor, there are two single rooms both with en-suite walk-in showers and WC. Additionally, on the second floor, there are also two master suites both enjoying breathtaking views across the mountains. The first offers a super-king-size bedroom with an additional lounge area with TV, an en-suite bathroom with free-standing bath, double walk-in shower and WC. The final one offers a super-king-size suite with additional lounge area with en-suite double walk-in shower room and WC.
Outside, guests are free to explore the gardens, a terrace to the front of the property offers seating and the perfect view perfect to enjoy over a morning coffee, and to the rear of the property is a further terrace with table and chairs for summer dining. A private hot tub that accommodates seven is a very special feature of this enchanting retreat.
