Description

Brynderwen is a beautiful stone carbon neutral former farmhouse in a secluded rural location, at the end of a no through lane, with stunning far-reaching views over the Mid Wales countryside from all principal rooms. The house has been recently renovated to a very high standard, with quality furnishings and fittings and attention to detail. There is also an excellent range of facilities at the property – TV lounge with Smart TV, hot tub and table tennis table – so you may not want to venture far once you have arrived at this peaceful, relaxing holiday base! Dog friendly, too – but beware! sheep in the neighbouring fields are your nearest neighbours. This cottage boasts it's energy efficiency through powering the property though the use of solar panels. Firewood for the log burner and hot tub comes from wind fall timber sourced from a local family business 3 miles away. Furthermore, water also comes from a borehole behind the house where the waste water is returned back into the ground via the treatment plant in the field.

Brynderwen is a detached stone cottage, with electric radiators throughout and water from a natural spring (passed safe for drinking); WiFi is available.

Further facilities are available in the small market town of Llanfair Caereinion, 8 miles away, where you can catch a steam train on the Welshpool – Llanfair Caereinion Light Railway, for a picturesque ride down the valley to Welshpool. Reviews

Arrived Monday evening, awoke Tuesday morning in a Welsh winter wonderland, we felt truly blessed. Cannot fault the cottage, homely, very comfortable, warm and a great size. Great view's from any of the many windows and if you want to stare at something else, the t.v. room down stairs is a really nice space. We spent five days here and did not leave, and felt truly well rested. Walks from the door and a pub/ hotel not far away. We can honestly say Bryndewyn is well worth a visit, you won't regret it. Would recommend stocking up on essentials before you arrive as the nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away.

Mr S,

Lovely spacious accommodation in a great setting. In easy reach of Snowdonia and other great attractions.

Mrs T,

Amazing cottage in beautiful Welsh countryside. This is the second time we visited and we will be back again in the future.

Mr T,

An excellent cottage well equipped in a great location Would definitely recommend if your looking for some piece and quite away from it all was just what we wanted

Mr M,

Lovely cottage very relaxing well worth advice to bring provisions with you as shops a good half hour away.

Ms B,

A lovely week in a great cottage - spotlessly clean and lots of space. Very much enjoyed our stay

Mrs R,

If you want to get away from it all then Brynderwen is the perfect spot....no noise (except for the occasional sheep bleat!), expansive rural views across beautiful hillsides, red kites circling overhead and the best starry sky you can imagine. You can have car free days enjoying the garden views and (muddy!) Owain Glyndwr Trail running very close by. The house itself is beautifully restored, classy yet comfy, with lots of natural wood and stone. The outside covered table tennis is a real bonus, as is the hot tub when you have the time to stoke it up. All the family loved it here and we made memories that will last a lifetime

Mr R,

Beautifully placed in remote Valley, only one other house could be seen from the property (a mile away on the other side of the valley). Stunning property, real home from home. This place is truly food for the soul. Its down a proper farm road, so winter/ snow access could be fun ! It's about 1km to the nearest main road. Would go again at the drop of a hat. Good fishing a few miles down the road at Blue Bell campsite. (A458)

Mr B,

Brynderwen was the perfect holiday destination for us. The cottage is situated in the heart of Wales with lovely views and no close neighbours apart from the cows and sheep. Everything we needed was there and more. The basement TV room was a great extra as the children often went down there to watch Netflix in the evening. We had a few matches of table tennis and the bbq amd hot tub had good use too. There is plenty to do in all directions, we did waterfall walks, the beach, snowdon and steam train rides, with plenty more we didn't have time to do. It's the perfect getaway for families, friends or couples whether you want to explore or relax and hopefully we will be back.
