Description
If you need to escape the hustle and bustle of life to simply get away from it all, then Hafod y Llwynog is the place to go. Set in the calm and picturesque countryside of Ceredigion, not far from Cardigan Bay, this traditional, stone-built, semi-detached cottage has it all. Take in the stunning scenery and breathe in the fresh country air, take a siesta in the hammock, or soak amongst the bubbles of the outdoor hot tub. There is also a chimenea where you can get cozy together and enjoy toasting marshmallows, or head to the lake for a romantic walk whilst watching the sun set over Cardigan Bay and admire the fabulous views up to Llŷn Peninsula and Bardsey Island - a perfect way to spend the evening. Hafod y Llwynog has been lovingly decorated and is a superb place for a family holiday with plenty of space inside for some lovely quality time together, and the large play area outside will keep the children entertained for hours. For the adults (16+) to have a break, a short distanced walk from the cottage (around 200 meters) you'll find yourself in a beautifully landscaped area of around one acre with two ponds and a little woodland providing a wonderful place for an evening walk or a quiet spot for meditation or yoga. Making new memories with loved ones is what Hafod y Llwynog is all about, and there are plenty of ways to make those wonderful memories at this beautiful and charming cottage.
Situated deep in the Ceredigion countryside, you can guarantee you'll get a peaceful holiday here but there also plenty of great places to visit nearby. A 20 minutes' drive towards the coast will get you to the pretty Georgian town of Aberaeron, full of colour, fantastic eateries, some of which have views of the harbour, and lovely independent shops. It's a place where you can relax and enjoy delicious food or an ice cream, take a walk along the Wales Coast Path whilst admiring the glistening sea, or get on a boat and spot some friendly bottlenose dolphins. Head inland, around the same distance in the other direction from Hafod y Llwynog, and you'll come to the historic market town of Tregaron which is a gateway to the Cambrian Mountains. All amenities are available here too, and instead of a walk along the coast, you can take a walk along parts of the River Brennig which flows right through the town. A visit to the Tregaron Red Kite Centre and Museum is a must, and if you'd like to see the Red Kites, head up to Cors Caron Nature Reserve. Other great places to visit that the whole family will enjoy include Llanerchaeron, near Aberaeron - a magnificent Georgian Villa with a walled garden, a farmyard and wildlife to spot, Fantasy Farm Park near Llanrhystud or you can visit beaches such as the one in Llanrhystud, Llanon or New Quay to name just a few that are situated along the beautiful Cardigan Bay. Hafod y Llwynog's location will certainly suit everyone, either in Summer or Winter.
