Description

This cottage is located in a peaceful hamlet just a mile from the beautiful sands of Freshwater East. The village is popular with visitors and locals alike due to its large dune-backed beach and access to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The beach can be reached by car or can be accessed via fields and footpaths from the garden in around a half a mile walk. The historic town of Pembroke (3 miles) has a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, plus you could visit its famous castle, birthplace of Henry VII, is a must for history buffs. The popular seaside town of Tenby (8 miles) is well worth a visit when you're in the area too, with four beaches to choose from and a bustling town centre. For fun days out, head to Manor Wildlife Park or Heatherton World of Activities, both 10 miles away – offering something for all the family.

As you enter this cottage you are welcomed into the heart of the home, the kitchen. This contemporary country kitchen is well equipped for family mealtimes or breakfast on the go and enjoys a lovely dining table big enough to cater for everyone. Carry on through to the lounge which has the benefit of dual-aspect windows and skylights, creating a beautifully light and calm space to relax after a day of exploring the coast. There are two sofas and an armchair centred around the Smart TV, with views out to the garden. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor and a convenient downstairs WC. Head on up the stairs, where you will find the family bathroom on the half-landing (six steps) with a wood-panelled designer bath, slate floor and wet room shower. The second bedroom is also on this level, comfortably accommodating twin four-poster beds. Completing this level is a convenient utility room with a washing machine. Head up a few more stairs and you’ll find the family suite, containing a king and a single bed – ideal for families with young children. All three bedrooms enjoy solid oak floors, dressing tables and TVs.

The garden here is truly exceptional. There is a patio dining terrace with a charcoal BBQ for use on those warmer evenings. This leads onto a large lawn area where children can stretch their legs or make use of the play equipment including slides, swings and goals. The garden is looked over by a completely unique tower – ‘The Folly’ – allowing you to dine alfresco under some cover and enjoy views over the hamlet, fields and beyond. The coast path and beach can be accessed at the rear of the garden via a walk through woodland and either fields or country lanes (paths may be steep in places so a drive to the beach may be preferable).
