Description

This delightful property is situated at the end of a quiet country lane in the village of Begelly. With beautiful country walks straight from your door, it is perfect for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy the open countryside and ramble along the nearby historical Miners Walk. If you prefer the seaside to the country, the Blue Flag beaches and Coast Paths of Saundersfoot (2.5 miles), Amroth, (4 miles) and Tenby (6 miles) are minutes away or visit the historical market town of Narberth (5 miles) as featured in The Times Travel Review, with its variety of independent shops and award-winning cafes. Folly Farm Adventure Farm and Zoo, another award-winning attraction, is just 1 mile away and offers a great day out for families with children of all ages.

The property is well laid out and upon entering the front hall you will find a large open-plan lounge diner with comfortable seating centred around a cosy gas Woodburner style fire. A perfect place to curl up with the family in front of the Smart TV at night and stream your favourite movies or programmes. There is also an eight-seater dining table to enjoy sociable meals or family games nights. Double doors lead off the lounge into an additional lounge area known affectionally as ‘the library’, with a second TV, leather sofa, comfortable armchairs and plenty of books to lose yourself in. Glass sliding double doors give a fabulous view of the rear lawned garden and open fields beyond. A perfect place to sit and enjoy birdwatching, you may also see squirrels and an occasional pheasant! Adjacent to the lounge sits a generously proportioned farmhouse-style kitchen, with breakfast bar seating and a small cosy sofa, it offers ample space to prepare a meal for the family, picnic on the go or just another area to relax. Leading off from the kitchen is the rear entrance door to the garden and utility room. A boot room-style porch is a handy place for cleaning down muddy walking boots or pets. Back in the entrance hallway is a corridor leading to four bedrooms, a spacious king room with a vanity unit, a cosy double with en suite, a twin room and a bunk bedroom with a third pull-out trundle bed. The family bathroom is located opposite the twin and bunk rooms featuring a bath and free-standing shower – please note there is one step into the shower/wet room area and bathroom sink.

Externally, the cottage enjoys patios and pathways all around and a large wrap-around lawned garden which can be enclosed when the driveway gates are shut. Featuring mature shrubs, hedgerows and some stock fencing, the garden is a perfect place to relax and unwind with a great space for children to explore and play. A further patio and charcoal BBQ area sits on the rear lawn under the apple trees complete with al fresco dining furniture. For the romantics and stargazers, there is no light pollution in the evening, and this shows off the starry Pembrokeshire night skies to perfection. The garden is surrounded by neighbouring fields, offering total privacy and tranquillity.

Reviews

Great, well equipped property in a great location to get to many places. Will definitely be back for another relaxing visit.

Mrs B,

This cottage is cosy and a great place to stay.

Mrs K,

Cottage was perfect in every way

Mr D,

As we have a disabled person in our party, it was not good that the three high steps from the driveway to the front patio were not disclosed. I could not believe this, because this caused us great inconvenience and meant having to walk right around the cottage, over the grass to the back door. Not good. This should be disclosed in advance via your particulars. Otherwise the cottage is comfortable and clean. The en-suite toilet is also very cramped.

Mr H,

The bungalow was perfect, loads of space for 8 and 2 dogs. It was so perfect, in location and size and the dogs loved the garden, none of us wanted to leave. Easy reach of several lovely beaches and pretty towns. Would recommend to anyone. Perfect holiday.

Mrs T,

Fabulous bungalow! Had everything we needed, was very clean and even had a welcome package waiting for us when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. Bungalow was in a lovely quiet location surrounded by fields, but conveniently located for everything the area has to offer. It suited three generations of our family very well. There are 3 steps to navigate to get to the front door and a step into the main shower which would be something to consider for anyone with severe mobility issues. We would go back again and would certainly recommend.

Mrs H,

Small Drink came up to all our expectations and more… It was Lovely and spacious, had great facilities and all in a wonderful peaceful setting…The dogs lived the gardens & I have just recommended to others and hope to come back again next year… Thank you for a fab week.

Mrs C,

We had a wonderful stay. The bungalow was really good and we felt really comfortable and it was like being at home. Our dog really loved the freedom he had running around. Beds really comfortable as well. Would recommend to all my friends

Mrs K,

A lovely quiet and secluded spot very restful. We loved the cottage and thoroughly our stay . Would recommend and stay there again

Mr G,

A lovely well equipped bungalow with plenty of space in a lovely location close enough to all the attractions but far enough out to enjoy some tranquility.

Mr F,

This is a brilliant cottage, whose owners have thought of everything that you could possibly need in the way of equipment. High quality bedding and towels provided, spotlessly clean and perfect sized garden for the dogs. The location was quiet and private, with easy access to Kilgetty where there are a few take-aways and a well stocked Co-op. A perfectly arranged cottage that caters for friendship groups or families, reasonable access but there are some outside steps (not many). One of the best I have had the pleasure of staying. Thank you very much.

Mrs R,

This is our second visit, the bungalow is very roomy and well equipped, its in a great location and has a brilliant garden which the dog loved.

Mrs C,

Fantastic place , nothing is missing. Definitely worth recommendation. Thank you so much!
