Description

Llety Heulog, translated from 'Sunny Accommodation', is a beautifully spacious holiday home, set on the south facing valley slope on the outskirts of Dolgellau town with outstanding views towards Cadair Idris and surrounding Snowdonia mountains. Whilst retaining some of its original 1930's features, Llety Heulog have been sympathetically renovated and modernised throughout. Reviews

Sometimes the pictures can be dated or 'artistic' in depicting a property but these are very accurate. The house is spacious and bright, clean and very comfortable for a short or long stay. The kitchen is really well laid out for cooking, dining and relaxing. The kitchen electrics are of high quality and easy to use (Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Dishwasher etc). Lots of crockery, cups and glasses along with trays, chopping boards and other incidentals. The Lounge is lovely and snug, we used it every night for family movies on the smart TV on which you can login to your own Disney, Prime etc streaming services, as well as standards Freeview being available. There is also a conservatory which was lovely and warm in the sun and very comfy, if a little chilly at night and early morning (though there is a fire which we didn't use). Finally the little downstairs loo / utility room where the washing machine is located. This bathroom was really useful for a family of 4 but with no heating and with stone floors is cold in the morning and night - very small inconvenience however as the second bathroom was handy. Upstairs the family bathroom is also spacious with hot water on demand and a bluetooth mirror for morning music! All the bedrooms were a good size; The master has a very comfy king size bed, with two seat couch, smart TV, plenty of storage and even a sink. The twin was shared by our children and has 2 single beds with good storage. We didn't use the bunk bed room but it is perfectly laid out for 2 children. Outside space at the front is perfect for an evening glass of wine or morning coffee overlooking the village and valley. There is also an odd little enclosed private garden about 20m away but we didn't use this as it isn't connected directly to the house - that being said, if we were there in Summer and wanted a BBQ etc we would use it as it is quiet and private. There is parking for 2 vehicles and also an electric charging point, though we didn't use it. The house is easy to find (behind the village police station) but is up a steep hill, both the drive and the pathway, which might make is difficult for people with mobility issues. Walk into the village is 5 minutes and once down the hill is very easy. Turn right and walk down to the underpass which takes you to the far end of the playing fields along the river or turn left and walk down to the bridge into the village. Village itself is quaint with a few nice shops, a lovely bakery (DD's) and some great pubs which are all dog friendly. A couple of Spar and Co-ops are located in the village for decent provisions and all-in-all it was an excellent base to explore from (local like Barmouth and Precipice Walk but also further afield, being well located close to quiet A-Roads). Loved it and almost certainly would be back.

Mr S,

Lovely well equipped family home. Everything you could need. Hot shower. Lots of towels and toilet rolls. We used the electric car charger which was easy to use. Only just managed to get our two car within the parking spaces. Steep path to the front of the house. Excellent house. Lovely views.

Mrs J,

As above.

Mr O,

The beds were very comfortable and overall the house is fully equipped to suit any family staying for a week or 2. Would highly recommend as it’s close to local shops and tourist spots as well as beach and mountains. Lovely views of mountains from Main bedroom but garden a little small for dogs. Our small chihuahua could escape through the fence in the front.

Mrs S,

We had a wonderful time at the very good equipped house. Only the bunk bed fits just for younger children.

Mrs S,

Nice cottage , great location wonderful views

Mr M,

We had a lovely holiday at this cottage. It's location for strolling onto Dolgellau and exploring the surrounding countryside was perfect. The cottage was very well equipped.

Mrs H,

Very relaxing cottage with great views. Ideally situated being only a short walk into town centre.

Mr H,

A lovely cottage a real home from home well situated for Dolgellau and the pubs, town etc is just a 10 minute walk, an amazing outlook although with windows open at night the road is noisy…. Be aware as the drive is very steep as is the path to the door…. Not suitable if you have any mobility issues…..

Mrs T,

The patio is a sun trap all day. You face the sun for breakfast and turn 180° for evening meal/drink. The views are of the hills are wonderful. The location of the property is ideal for so many places to visit.

Mrs H,

We really enjoyed staying at Llety Heulog, the views are great, and the cottage was warm and inviting. And it is an easy walk to the pub,
