Description
Seek romance and endless scenery at this Yorkshire Dales holiday home, perfect for a couple or two. This truly rural getaway is located just 1.5 miles from Hawes, a charming market town nestled within the national park countryside. The town’s top attraction is the Wensleydale Creamery, a must-visit for cheese lovers and Wallace and Gromit fans alike. Step out through the door and embark on some incredible walks, including a visit to Hardraw Force, England’s largest single-drop waterfall, and the challenging Pennine Way route (both less than 0.5 miles away). Cyclists will enjoy a trip to Buttertubs Pass starting right outside the back door, a popular spot offering far-reaching fell views. For an unforgettable day out, the nearby Forbidden Corner (17.5 miles) and the historic town of Richmond (24 miles) are well worth the drive.
The cottage itself exudes traditional Yorkshire charm, with old stone walls and exposed beams and glorious countryside views throughout. Step inside to find a lovely lounge with soft accents and antique-style furnishings. Get settled onto the sofa with the wood burner filling the room with warmth, enjoying a night of good chatter or a great film on the Smart TV. Staying on the ground floor, the kitchen/diner is on hand with everything you may need at mealtimes. The washing up won’t feel like a chore in here, with incredible views to admire from the window above the sink. Those great views continue in the two cosy double bedrooms just upstairs. Both rooms are served by a family bathroom with a shower over a bath.
A paved patio at the front of the property has been thoughtfully furnished with a bistro set to create a restful place to sit and sip a drink. Boasting incredible views across the Yorkshire Dales, you’re invited to start each day right with a morning coffee out here.
